Happily Ever After

27 Jun

A couple had only been married for two weeks. The husband, although very much in love, couldn’t wait to go out on the town and party with his old buddies. So, he said to his new wife, “Honey, I’ll be right back.”

“Where are you going, Coochy Coo?” asked the wife.

“I’m going to the bar, Pretty Face. I’m going to have a beer.”

The wife said, “You want a beer, my love?”

She opened the door to the refrigerator and showed him 25 different kinds of beer, brands from 12 different countries: Germany,Holland, Japan, India, etc.

The husband didn’t know what to do, and the only thing that he could think of saying was, “Yes, Lollipop…but at the bar…you know…they have frozen glasses… “

He didn’t get to finish the sentence, because the wife interrupted him by saying, “You want a frozen glass, Puppy Face?” She took a huge beer mug out of the freezer, so frozen that she was getting chills just holding it.

The husband, looking a bit pale, said, “Yes, Tootsie Roll, but at the bar they have those hors d’oeuvres that are really delicious…I won’t be long. I’ll be right back. I promise. OK?”

“You want hors d’oeuvres, Poochie h?” She opened the oven and took out 5 dishes of different hors d’oeuvres: chicken wings, pigs in blankets, mushroom caps, and pork strips.

“But my sweet honey…at the bar….you know there’s swearing, dirty words and all that…”

“You want dirty words, Cutie Pie? ….”LISTEN UP D*CKHEAD! SIT DOWN, SHUT THE F*CK UP, DRINK YOUR DAMN BEER IN YOUR DAMN FROZEN MUG, AND EAT YOUR F*CKIN’ HORS D’OEUVRES. BECAUSE YOUR MARRIED ASS ISN’T GOING TO A F*CKIN’ BAR! THAT SH*IT IS OVER…GOT IT, AS*HOLE?”

And, they lived happily ever after.

The end.

Have a great weekend you guys!

Beach House

24 Jun

Now I’ve never really put much thought on how our dream home should and must look like but if I had an option, we both would love to have a house by the beach. Nothing extraordinarily big or fancy- just a cosy little place to call home by the beach.

Hubby’s been scouting a lot online for a home to lease in Melbourne. Buying is not an option given the high interest rates and duration of our stay in OZ.

So far we have these two cozy places in mind.

Townhouse in Torquay
Rental: AUD390 per week

A decent view of the beach:

Only downside – this is about 50 minutes away from the city.

The other option – only 20 minutes away from the city

Sanctuary Lakes
AUD400 per week

You like? I reckon there’s some fixing up to do but no doubt, it will be absolutely gorgeous and pwettie once we’re done with it.

I wish the second house was by the beach. I can imagine long walks on the beach with my hubby and westie, a swim in the morning and evening, a few drinks on the beach – absolute bliss. And our new home will always be open to our family and friends, which explains why we’re looking for a three bedroom house!

Will probably check the area out when we’re there for our OZ trip in August. Can’t wait!

Apartment for Sale / Rent

As most would know, we’re making a 2 year move to OZ so we have no choice but to sell off our apartment. We’re looking for those who have RM495k (nego) to spare. Since it’s just the two of us, we converted the Guest Bedroom to a Hi-fi Room complete with a home theater system. However, you can just remove the couch and fit a queen-sized bed easily.

Master Bedroom

I assure you this is the BEST FURNISHED unit in 10 Semantan and we would not let it go if we were not moving to OZ in November :( Great for rental yield or investment as it is in a sought-after location!

Asking price: RM495,000 (Fully furnished, compare this price to other bare & plain units in 10 Semantan!)

Rental price: RM3,500 per month (inclusive of service charges)

We’ve put in SO much effort with this place so nothing beats having to look at this apartment for yourself. If you’re interested, just drop me a line. I’m sooo going to miss this place.

Another Suprise

19 Jun

I got another surprise last night. Weeeee :)

I was all ready to go to bed when I spotted this:

My Canon camera had gone mad of jealousy so I had to use my camera phone to capture this.

I used to call him a Westie a lot back when we dated coz he’s got those cute Westie puppy eyes thus the flyer you see. Oh and he wrapped the gift all by himself :)

I had a hunch what it was. Coz he knows I’ve been hunting around for a new camera for the past one month. Nothing fancy or foolishly expensive – just another easy to use camera to replace my PMS-ing canon camera.

After consulting with my cousin  (sorry we keep bugging you all the time) he decided on the Olympus FE-320 in Black – this baby is super light in weight and best of all easy to use.

Wait, there’s more…

He told me to turn on the camera to see what’s in it.

Now isn’t that an awwwwwwww moment?

I was speechless with how romantic he can get. Speechless. I didn’t expect this from my hubby; at least not from the very same man who proposed in Pangkor by asking ‘do you want to get married’ while holding a whisky glass in one hand.

He really made my day.

Men And Gadgets

18 Jun

It was our 1st year Engagement Anniversary yesterday.

I saw him eyeing an iPod speaker the other day and knew instantly that this would make the perfect gift.

The new Edifier IF330 Plus iPod Speaker System with iPod Charging Dock

It was a toughie looking for this baby. After countless research, countless calls to many shops and rude encounters with the salesmen over the phone, I found this and rushed over to Lowyat after work to get my hands on it.

Good sound quality despite its itty bitty size, extremely portable, can work using AA batteries and best of all comes with a cute little remote so we don’t need to get off our asses to manually pick the song. Clever! Two thumbs up.

He spent a good 45 minutes first ogling at the speaker, followed by assembling and then playing with his brand new toy before going to bed. So it’s true, just like women and their love for shopping, you really can’t seperate the men from their gadgets.
