Theobroma Chocolate Lounge @ One-Utama

31 Jul

My partner in crime and I decided to take the day off (the ethical way of course) yesterday for some errands, one of which included a 5 hour visit to One-Utama for some shopping and foodie indulgence :)

Our Oz adventure may be only be starting in 2 weeks time, but that didn’t stop us from kick-starting it by visiting an Australian creation called Theobroma Chocolate Lounge which recently hit the shores of One-Utama and Pavilion.

If you LOVE chocolate, and I mean milk chocolate, dark chocolate, white chocolate, coloured chocolates, liqueur chocolates, hard chocolate, soft chocolate, chocolate drinks, chocolate desserts and chocolate snacks….yes you get it, a choco-holic, this is the place to go.

The arrays of lip-smacking good-looking chocolates that kept calling out to me.

Screw your diet, EAT ME!

At RM4.90 a pop, I had to kindly decline its temptation. Sorry mate, maybe next time aye?

But the good news is, drinks at this chokkie cafe are affordable with only the best cocoa primed and used.

Hey they don’t say you can taste the difference here for nothing.

Presenting my hot Ms Coco with her cutesy warmers to keep her bits warm

This is their best seller, according to the friendly waitress and menu. But if I had to complain, I wish this could have been a little bit sweeter to satisfy my sweet tooth. On the bright side, at least this didn’t go straight to my already big hips that don’t lie!

Hubby’s absolutely-delicious-his-order-was-better-than-mine-for-once Iced Fair Lady Mocha Frappe, which was a yin yang blend of chocolate and coffee to satisfy his coffee craving. Never mind that his was more delicious than mine, guess who’s hip got bigger yesterday? :)

Hubby already studying the menu for his next trip:

Forget diamonds, chocolates and cocoa should be a woman’s best friend.

And since this chocolate café roots back to Melbourne, if you’re in Melbourne and want to look us up this August, you’ll know where to find us. It’s going to be my mission to check out the outlets there.

Paul Van Dyk @ Zouk Kuala Lumpur

28 Jul

Double entry post today coz this event deserves a post of its own! Heavy cam-whore moments unleashed, you have been warned.

And if you’re homophobic well, too bad!

Ok so it’s been a while since we last clubbed. Honest. But when Anusha told us Paul Van Dyk was going to spin at Zouk on Saturday, we just had to go. See, told you we’d make it!

The eager beaver partygoers despite paying RM60 for entrance, hmpff

Oh and the bouncer made me love zouk when he asked for my ID :))

The man himself courtesy of Anusha – thanks for letting me flick it off your facebook babe

The scene: The best view is from the podium.

But sorry hubby, only girls allowed on the podium.

PVD at work:

IF you’re a regular reader of my blog you’ll see more pictures of everyone else but me because I’m shy and always the person behind the camera.

Not this time!!

STOP, let me take pictures of you instead honeyyy

Are you sure you can handle this babyy?

Madhu: I have faith in him. Peace

Okay a quick rule to photography: Always focus on the best side so take only my right side, get it?

My guide to partying like a champion: Absolutely do not discriminate.

Those who are different than you and I are absolutely the best people to party with.

Give me gay, oops I mean happy.

Okay lady boys, strike a pose. Hey who let you on the podium.

Take 2: Oops sorry, okay girls, you can stay on the podium if you give me vogue.

Check out the dyke with the tattoo – she said I’m so pwettie :)

Meet my new hot bisexual friends.

From left – right: Madhu (oh she’s straight), hot chick 1 from Malaysia, hot chick 2 from Philippines and the weirdo magnet hind this blog.

Madhu asking me via text: Why are you such a weirdo magnet??

I don’t know!

Sorry boys can’t tell you how I do it! I’m just friendly, haha.

Last but not least: kids, never and I mean NEVER do drugs. You just never know which she-male you might end up kissing. Ask the Blondie, he’ll tell you.

It was such an awesome night!

Being typical Malaysians, we just had to head for our usual maggi goreng feast after clubbing. We ended up going home at 6 a.m.

As I snoozed the Sunday morning away, I was awaken by the smell of my husband’s cooking. *so lucky*

He promised he’ll cook me Chicken Rice next time around.

The aftermath – when Anusha has a hangover the next day from too much beer.

Via text:

Me: censored censored censored but the dyke was the one who made the move on me

Anusha: OMG, Paul van Dyk made a move on you???

Err yea okay. Yes he did. Now go spread the news around. Peace.

Catching Up

28 Jul

The weekend has been a catch up session for us where our close friends are concerned.

Having last saw her a month ago, decided to do dinner with Wylane at Delicious in Bangsar Village II to celebrate her birthday and catch up on the gossip.

Friday night’s dinner was my first dinner away from hubby. Ever since getting married, I’ve never gone anywhere or had dinner without having my man by my side. I know – he’s so clingy ;) Anyway he wasn’t all that far from his wife since he was at the gym in the same building.

The hot chick who just keeps losing weight. Any skinnier and I swear you’re going to disappear!

The yummy Four Cheese Macaroni. Sinfully delicious and fattening.

But I say who cares right…eat and be happy for you only live once.

The faces of two stuffed guilty piggies

The night ended with my hubby joining us for a drink in one of the pubs in Bangsar. It’s comforting to know how he cannot be away from me for too long :)

And Wylane, I’m so glad you like the bracelet, sorry I couldn’t get it wrapped. Let’s do a couple’s night out when Jove is back from Bangkok.

Sunday Night:

Bestie and her significant other were in town for the weekend so decided to catch up with the gang over Chinese dinner.

I’m happy to declare that Dheeraj, for once in 3.5 years of knowing him (has it been this long?) was not the last one to arrive fashionably late. We were, but only because I left my mobile at home and had to make a detour.

Our usual favorite Chinese Restaurant in Lucky Garden was closed so the gang ended up at Chef Low Restaurant.

Mena stressing her point how everyone will have roles on her wedding

Dheeraj wondering what ‘role’ he’ll have to play

The happy diners

That is until the bill arrived

The bill came up to RM169.

Shocking because we could have had the same at our usual place for less than RM60 and we noticed the price on the menu did not match the price on the bill.

It’s the damn domino effect of the oil price hike that has made everything else under the sun go up. At the same time, it’s also the case of joining the band wagon since every other restaurants are hiking their price but to pay RM55 and RM20 for 6 pieces of Butter Prawn and for Baby Kailan is absurd and for that reason, Chef Low, you’ve gone too low and deserve a BIG strike out from my list. Shame on you!

Nevertheless I’m so happy that Bestie will be back for good come end August with Jonas.

Looking forward to many parties and drunken nights at your place so please get one with a pool and load up the alco supply!

The Curious Cat

26 Jul

Someone from the past adds you on Facebook. What do you do?

YES I just got Facebook :)

You can choose to ignore the request or you can choose to accept it. I did the latter.

But before that, I consulted my hubby. I told him I wanted to add him for the simple reason. I wanted him to look at my pictures and know that:

1) We are both very happy and doing well in life

2) I made the best choice ever

3) You can break the news to your other f*cked up friends

4) You said certain things about my husband then out of jealousy but that’s all right. You can continue being jealous of him since you wish you could be half the man he is. As the saying goes, may the best man win and the best man won.

And no doubt that the person from the past adds coz he or she is curious. Curious to know how you’re leading your life now, curious to know what you’ve achieved to date and most important of all, to know if you’re happy and contented with your life. And when the cat is curious, do not kill it, instead feed its curiousity. It’s the best thing you’ll ever do for them.

A Hallmark Moment

23 Jul

Clearing out your drawer sometimes is like unleashing Pandora’s box. You just never know what you might set free back into your memories. *shudders*

Blast from the past:

Check out my various suckers, I mean admirers.

Sometimes I pause *briefly* and wonder what’s going on in their lifes right now. Are they happily married? Fathers of 5 kids? Are they bald with a pot belly now? Stalking someone else instead?

Ok fine, I lied, I really don’t care. Jangan pandang belakang, jangan.

But of all the cards I have, one stood out more than anything else.

And naturally I married the guy who made the card for me with his bare hands and it was a bonus that he called himself a donkey :) So guys, to impress – make your own cards! AND I want my babies to be this artistic like their dad.

PS: And I am SO not the Ogre ok!
