Mummy’s Little Book Worm

Mummy’s Little Book Worm

Sairah has a new dress to add to her wardrobe collection thanks to my Uncle who got it from Pumpkin Patch in Sydney. I”ve since stopped buying her dresses and have moved on to 2 piece due to its comfort for an active toddler. So of course it’s nice to receive dresses once in a while. He paid AUD45 for this and I have to say, it’s just gorgeous…….not something I would pick out on my own since I steer clear  away from whites (have you tried feeding a toddler who doesn’t like putting her bib on anymore? White outfits can be a nightmare no matter how good they may look!).

Her daddy trying to give out his ‘I”m so cute’ look but I think it’s a rather creepy photo, lol

Starting to love restaurants who provide color pencils and colouring pad for restless toddlers.  Ever since she started feeding herself, dining out is more bearable since she can sit quietly on her high chair so long she’s feeding herself or has something to do on the table, like so – baby got mad skills yo using 2 hands to color. Wonder if she’s ambidextrouss since she uses both her right and left hand to scribble from time to time, time will tell.

Oh do check out her angry face video here that I mentioned once before.  She obviously learnt it WELL from her mother, ahem, except I dont look half as cute like her with that face on - I just look plain possessed, lol. But what to do, that’s a look  that works best with her father coz you know men - you can never ask them nicely to get things done.

But yea, just see how gorgeous this dress is! You can tell good taste when it comes to kiddie clothes run in our blood :D

She looks sooo mature like a little lady in this one. I first thought it might be a bit too formal for a mall wear but then again, the minute we put this on her, she kept saying ooooo nice (which is instant victory to us coz there are days she refuses to wear anything and actually wants to walk around NAKED!) so I just paired it with her sandals and off we went. Note to self: buy your child some formal shoes!

She was smart enough to say ‘Uncle buy this baju’ when we asked her who got her that dress :D She usually would always  say mommy-daddy when asked who got her that dress/toy and that kid being the little politician that she is knows better to mention both our names as to not offend any one of us, just incase :)

Then we went to her second favorite spot in the mall AFTER passing by her first favorite which really takes no guesses here.

I like how the children’s section is right at the end in Borders. Every time we go she’s close to the only child in that area so that gives her alot of time and space to browse through the books.

In the end, it was two Barbie book that captured her heart. I forgot to take a photo but one of her Barbie actually followed us on this mall trip :)

I really adore these photos of her sitting on the table looking at these books. The book-aholic in this one is strong! Just yesterday she pulled up her story book for me to read…..I read one story, she asked for more, then I read another one and another until my throat couldn’t take it anymore. It was then when she cried and literally threw a fit coz I had stopped reading to her. LOL. Note to self, gotta download some reading app on the Ipad as my backup.

I love how colorful these books are adding such vibrancy to the photo

Do check out these two videos here and here coz it shows you how much she enjoys her books.

Ok daddie, I want these two, let’s go settle the bill NOW old man.

We were passing by LV when she stopped by their display window, asked her dad to carry her so she could have a closer look at the sunglasses…….that’s when she said, oooo nice, GIMME!

You can see how the father is lauging his head off coz there is no doubt, absolutely NO DOUBT that kid is starting to remind him alot of someone and that someone would most definitely be me :D

That’s my baby girl right there!

Discount Lovers

Discount Lovers

And that’s how we roll :D

So this week is Sharing is Caring week apparently :D

I was browsing through the web the other day and came across this site called Red Card.

What exactly is a red card?

Well a card that’s red in color what else :D

If I have to elaborate more then I would say this little red card is jammed packed with discounts up to 30% on certain restaurants! Making it a red discount card. Why pay full price with this baby in tow eh?

I decided to sign up for their one month trial and received the card in my mail a week later. So I decided to test it out a week ago. I should add that this card is most valueable mostly for WEEKDAY dining. Restaurant guide and when you can use them are listed here.

We make it a point to go to Mid Valley/Gardens Mall at least once a week on a weekday. The little one is the happiest when she makes these trips. I would be too if I were cooped up at home most of the time on weekdays.

We decided to check Yogitree out, one of the restaurants partnered with this card. While some restaurants require you to book in advance, some are okay with walk ins.

Diligently going through the menu like AS IF she has a say in what she eats :D

Old man, I want that!

Yes, let me inform the waiter of my choice of dinner. I like how bright the sky was even though it was close to 7.30pm!

Ain’t that the look of love her dad is giving her?

He’s so in love with his kid that he decides I”m not even worthy of being in the photo, hmpf! Just an arm of the wifey would do thank you.

See again focuses on his pride and joy! Anyway think I must have told him to take a photo of the display :D No idea what the little one is so happy about. Probably knew what she was gonna get after her dinner :)

CHOW TIME. All ready reaching out for the fork. Which she doesn’t even know how to use yet I should add. For every main course ordered, little ones eat for free. We got her  the ORGANIC spaghetti in tomato sauce which she absolutely loved. I tasted it myself and it was good.

Yogitree is actually a restaurant that prides itself in healthy eating – healthy food that is cooked with the right ingredients.

Usually anything that screams healthy means less tasty. At least that’s what this fattie thought. But after having their pesto pasta, I have to disagree with the statement that I intially agreed to.

Even the husband’s pesto sandwich with chicken was a hit with him. Then again he is naturally a healthy person who eats healthy yet has cholestrol issues, weird world we live in sometimes eh :D

Drinks are obviously not subjected to 30% discount with this card, either way we ordered and shared a smoothie which was SO good. I can’t rememer this combo but I dare say it’s much better than Boost Juice.  Oh and the macaron you see? It was FREE! Only because I went up to the counter and wanted to buy  some. I was told they were all reserved for those who were coming in to use their vouchers. 2 minutes later the waiter came and gave me a piece and said it was complimentary, by the boss. Wohooo.

I LOVE FREE DESSERTS.

Btw, the same hi-tea set that my sis had purchased a while ago is back for this restaurant. Do check it out here.

Clean clean plates! Hubby so shy coz he had pesto sauce all over his greedy mouth.

Total bill was a little under RM50. How affordable is that?

Red Card is now apparently giving out a free trial up to ONE YEAR! You can sign up here to enjoy great discounts and thank me thereafter :)

Then we moved on to our weekly ritual. Every freaking time we make a visit to Gardens, it has become a ritual of sort to make a pit stop at Moo Cow Yogurt. NO mall trip is complete without a stop here. And Sairah knows this all too well.

And my little fattie KNOWS whenever we are about to give her her favorite treat. Even as we step into Gardens, she immediately says ‘Mommy buy moo moo cow’ and all we ever hear out of her mouth is MOO MOO COW. No idea why she adds an extra Moo to it :D

Seriously, her little treats are draining our wallets dry!! We’ve spent more than RM200 to date and how do I know that?

Coz we freaking collected 15 stamps on the card already. And in return we got a free T-shirt. I was expecting a tub cup of free yogurt with that too but oh well.

Now she can look at this at home all day long and go mooo moo cow and annoy the crap out of my mom :)

But I honestly do think they should give this kid a free year’s supply of Moo Cow Yogurt coz I swear she’s their No 1 fan.

Kid’s a walking moo cow ad. Looks like she’s high on it….yogurt addict.

Thank you daddy for this glorious treat. Yea sure, so old man gets a kiss when MOMMY paid for it. Classic.

Will not eat fish, will not eat vegs, will not eat chicken but will open mouth WIDE for Moo Cow yogurt….children these days.

Btw the only reason I took these shots coz I was contemplating on entering their contest but then realized I need to have the photo of the yogurt in it as well. Geez, I guess another trip to Moo Cow is quite certainly due then :D

Walau, so many recommendations in one post and to think I’m not even getting paid a single cent for this. Such is life eh? :D

Artistic Shopper – My Trusted Personal Shopper

Artistic Shopper – My Trusted Personal Shopper

Okay shopping post!!

Today imma gonna reveal my FAVORITE personal shopper. And she’s none other than my buddy Wylane who now resides in Swindon, UK, sniffs.

Yes I am bias when I say favorite personal shopper in the whole wide world  just because she’s my friend, got a problem? :D

Before the birth of her personal shopper service I used to rely on personal shoppers who do BULK orders. Which means, it usually takes a LONG time because they set a deadline (which usually takes about 2 weeks to close) for them to collect orders and a further 2 weeks for the damn goods to arrive. Even longer if their parcel gets stuck with Customs. In total you’re waiting minimum ONE month or more for your clothes to arrive. And sometimes as shitty luck may be these items run out of stock coz these shoppers only attempt to buy them AFTER the deadline is closed.

Of course there are a few who do stand alone orders but their charges are usually expensive.  This is usually not a problem with those who have alot of cash but for those like me who earn peanuts (but yet want to do some UK shopping coz we’re such women!), it is a luxury!

Hence enter ArtisticShopper *cue music meant for the GODS*

With her site, you don’t have to wait for long at all. There is no deadline, basically it is YOU who sets the tone how fast your item arrives. If you pay her fast (like hello paypal is SO easy to use and just a click away), she buys your items before you can say DAMNIT THERE’S ANOTHER SALE.

You email her the items you want, she gives you the bill inclusive of shipping charges and her fees, you pay her via paypal and WALA you get your goods to your doorstep in a matter of weeks. Too date all my parcels have arrived into my sweet sweet hands in less than 2 weeks!!

And mind you I have received three parcels on different occasion from her. Talk about being fast and efficient. And kudos to our local postal too for being efficient. KUDOS.

Here’s my recent haul with her. Of course I’ll be honest and say she was too kind not to charge me her service fee despite my pleas of just billing me her fees anyway. What are friends for right,  she said! So in return I thought it would be nice to blog about her services and also since there were a few people requesting me to recommend them trusted personal shoppers. She is someone you can totally trust :D Otherwise I”ll personally refund your money.

As usual, all me items are from George. I got them during their MAD sale where everything disappeared within a day!! Seriously, the sale in UK is one force to be reckoned with. You snooze, you lose!

Excuse the ‘mommy’ tops, I just want to show you how CHEAP they are!

5 freaking pounds.

4.50 freaking pounds

6 freaking pounds

5 freaking pounds

6 pounds! Okie I couldnt find the real photo of the 2 in 1 cardigan I bought for work and this comes close enough

I paid 10 pounds for shipping.  Which breaks down to 2 pounds per top. It came nicely packed and she folded it in such a way to fit those 5 tops in one envelope.

And this was one of the tops I bought last year thanks to her and only paid 7 pounds. I’ve worn this NUMEROUS times to work and the blouse is still in pristine condition which makes me believe that clothes from UK are higher in quality – that’s one good reason to shop for items in the UK innit? :D

I’ve also gotten a few tops from Ebay UK as well. Esp from sellers who are too lansi and refuse to ship to Malaysia. She is also able to make bids for you so you can win them. Not many personal sellers offer this type of service!

So seriously, what are you waiting for? Hop on to Artistic Shopper now and shop away. She can help ship to you almost anything under the UK sun (well except for blonde busty british babes, sorry, oh and hair spray, knives and nail polish for obvious reasons) Her fee is definitely one of the more affordable ones around, rest assured.  Or you can bookmark sites like Dorothy Perkins, George, M&S, Bohoo, Next, and many more and wait for their sale where everything literally goes for a song. Now that’s a song you can afford to sing – okay sorry lame :D

Happy shopping, since bonus payout is around the corner for some :D

Self Feeding Time

21 May

Self Feeding Time

The little one is officially feeding herself. With a spoon. And of course hand coz we’re Indians like that :) Gosh it only feels like it was a few months ago that she started her first solids and now she’s feeding herself?!

It does make eating out more bearable thesedays (not the mess though!) because she’s  busy stuffing her face to eat that there is less time to fuss around on the table. Aaah bliss!

So now she’s gone all big girl on us by refusing us to feed her at all. Of course she makes an exception for food like pasta or mee/meehon where it’s much more harder for her to pick up with a spoon and fingers, but in general she still attempts to feed herself and creates a major mess with each meal.

The mess she creates by the time she’s done with her food is just horrendous!! If you think cleaning a poopy toddler is bad enough, try picking up those bloody bits of rice that fall into every corner of the baby chair. That baby chair has one too many stains and has lived to tell some of Sairah’s gastronomical adventure stories.

Going barehands with those chicken fingers.

Sup chikin, in a few seconds time, you be in mah round tummeh!

Mmmm chikiiiin.

Why does food have to be SOOO good!

Sometimes I feel so bad when we go to a restaurant. By the time we’re done, there’s droplets of rice on the table, on her baby chair, on her clothes, on the floor….I ALWAYS tell the husband to leave a bloody tip regardless whether service or food was crap! Because that takes the guilt away a lil :D I know I wouldn’t be happy if some tyrant munchkin came in and dropped food all over the apartment so I can imagine how they must feel.  I’m afraid that one day we might get banned from going to these restaurants.

Mess aside, it’s always so much fun watching her feed herself. For every spoon that succesfully goes into her mouth, half a spoon of rice would have fall off onto the floor. Of course our lil Silky Terrier is not complaining because he gets to polish off some of the food. And sometimes, she proceeds to call him boooyyyy, and drops off some of her food for him to eat. Generous much? Or just trying to avoid food that she doesn’t like?

But you know what REALLY takes the cake? How polite and thoughtful my baby girl is. Despite all that naughty-ness  that she gets up to day after day, that girl still knows her table manners!! When we tell her to eat, she proceeds to say ‘Mommy eat, grandma eat, grandpa eat, aunty eat, daddy eat’ – LITERALLY asking everyone on the table to eat as well with her.

LIKE OMG, that really blows me away each time because my baby girl has such impeccable table manners!! I don’t even know where that comes from since I don’t even bother asking my own mom or dad to eat coz I put my tummy first before everyone else, lol, shame on me.

*tears of joy* I tell you, I must have done some really good things in my past life to get such a thoughtful baby. Naughty but a thoughtful one.

Now if only she can eat without creating a single mess, that would be the ultimate table manners :D Then, maybe just then we’d be ready for another round of fine dining?

NAH!
