The Little Big Club

The Little Big Club

Picking up where I left off from our Hello Kitty adventure in JB a few months back – we also made a visit to The Little Big Club.  It TOTALLY makes sense to also pay TLBC a visit esp when it’s located one floor above Hello Kitty.  Of course, parents will only boys would probably see fit in visiting TLBC alone and not together with Hello Kitty.

The warm welcoming sign.

Not sure if it’s just me, but TLBC screams BOY because besides being almost blue everywhere, they cater mostly for boy cartoon shows. But it’s still worth a visit esp since they have awesome kiddie rides for the little one.

That place is further split into two levels – first floor for Meet & Greet of the characters while the second floor is where the fun stuff is.

Naturally we proceeded to the second floor first :D And I cannot emphasize how awesome it is to go there on a working weekday because there wasn’t a single line for the rides and we went on it a few times maximizing what we paid for our tickets.

Thomas The Train ride….just a simple circling the train track ride, went on it twice regardless.

There’s also a bumper car ride for the kids – too bad Sairah is too young for this.

Bus ride shot taken from our Ferris Wheel ride.

Naturally the little one was very keen so we ended up in the bus ride

The view from our bus going up and down. I’m super impressed with Sairah too that despite the ride going  a little fast, she was soo happy and wanted to go again. I have a lil thrill seeker here who loves such rides and I”m 100% convinced she got it from her mama :D

It almost looks like a Hollywood set don’t you think?

Her absolute favorite was this helicopter ride (I serious believe they have other proper names for each ride but I didn’t bother paying attention), and we went on this not once, not twice but about THREE freaking times all so we could see a smile on her face.

Buckle up…safety first!

Captain Sairah ready to steer us away to greater heights.

Are we ready to take off Mummy? Good, suck in your tummies please, we’re about to take off and I need this ride to be as light as possible!

Do check out the video here, and yes I know, I sound a little too excited in it but what the heck, there’s a kid in all of us

Cheeky kiss for Daddy so she could play longer on the second floor.

Madam walking towards the mini Ferris Wheel ride.

Up up up and away we go…

Lost anneh waiting for God’s knows what.

After getting our money’s worth, we proceeded to the lower level.

Angelina Ballerina room…

I LOVE how there are ballerina costumes provided for the kiddies to dress into and jump on stage. But I cannot imagine how chaotic this place will be when it’s peak season with every kid screaming their head off wanting to get into that outfit.

WTF is this overly-pink shiatz? Quite frankly, I think she would have been more happier on the second floor me think.

Isn’t this the cutest sight with all the other ballerinas in pink? Every girl was doing their own thing yo!

Ok mom, take it off, I dance freestyle damnit and not ballet.

Meet & Greet session in progress. Naturally the entire room was filled with GIRLS and more girls!

Bob The Builder.

PINGU! Was one of my favorite place too coz they had like a mini game room.

Aight kiddo, show me what you got!

And Mommy scoreeees!!! Such a bad-mommy moment I swear – my poor baby looks so confused but whatever I WON :)

I know whack-a-mole but whack-a-Pingu?? Hmm..but regardless, if you look at Sairah’s points, they seem to be higher than her dad’s…so am not sure if my 2 year old plays like her 35 year old father or if her 35 year old father plays like a 2 year old. You decide!

And of course, one of her absolute favorite and as she calls all play centers - ’Jungle Gym’. And technically she’s right, it can be get very jungle-y in these play centres sometimes with certain type of kids around.

After spending a good 3 hours we finally made our way to Johor Premium Outlet just to look see.

We were SUPER impressed by the layout coz it seriously reminded us of the outlet stores you see in the States.

Except, when I went to the outlet store in Vegas, I managed to get some Calvin Klein bra for a mere USD5!! I tried to see if my RM15 could get me anything here but NOPE. I didn’t find the prices here particular cheap and neither did any of the brands/item on sale were appealing so I only went home with a bottle of Purelogy shampoo for half price :)

Hubby on the other hand did some shopping for jeans.

We also drove into Singapore for a day trip the next day after our Hello Kitty / TLBC adventure.

Lunch break with our Diva Baby – am too cool for Singapore y’all. And to be honest, I didn’t find Singapore particular exciting – it somehow didn’t appeal to me no matter how many people have raved highly about the shopping and Singapore itself. I do give props however for being a clean city.

@ Orchard Road.  Singlish is not a very sexy language when spoken too loud esp when wearing skimpy clothes. Then again neither is manglish but whatever la brader, I”m bias, heh.

We were SO thankful she sat quietly on her stroller which we’ve not brought out in the past one year okie!

Oh lookie, me feeling like a baby again! My baby has grown so much I tell you.

One day one day that will be ours. But yea we were glad to be out of Singapore after a few hours.

Saying bye to our trip to down south!

And yea this is what the car looked like the entire time – filled with baby toys/books/diaper bag, anything and everything so that she would stay put for our 5 hour drive.

But overall, it was a good relaxing  holiday despite the long journey.  I’m not a huge fan of travelling long distance by car but for the sake of Hello Kitty and The Little Big Club visit for my precious Sairah – this momma sucked it in and went with the flow and I highly recommend both these places if you have a toddler. They will love you for it and talk about this trip for months!

Nothing Like A Good Cuppa Coffee

Nothing Like A Good Cuppa Coffee

These days whenever a friend suggest meeting up for drinks, drinks are definitely for surely COFFEE and no longer a night out in a club with alcoholic drinks.  It’s an age thing I swear – you’ll get it after you hit 30s. Why you think there are so many old (er) people in coffee joints

Besides, I could be the only one but I really do think those well above 30s and still go ‘clubbing’  on a weekly basis trying so hard to remain young must lead such vapid lives. I’ve totally lost touch about the latest scenes and quite frankly, I don’t give a shiatz either :D

I digress.

So recently my bestie came back from UK and we decided to meet up for drinks with another ex-classmate whom we’ve not seen in 15 over years and the more I try to make 15 years look like it’s just 5 months, those numbers scare me. Has it REALLY been 15 years since I left high school? That’s more than a freaking decade okie! Sometimes it feels like it was only yesterday we left school coz if you ask me to re-call what have I done in the past 15 years since leaving school I can only think of two things: 1. I got married to a handsome man. 2 I’m a mommy now. Oh and I have a job now that pays the bills – I hate this part of life though – stupid BILLS!

Summary of my life – sad or what, lol – maybe my life isn’t as interesting as most.

But anyhos, my friend wanted to meet at Pastis Cafe & Dining in Gardens.  I’ve dined there once but never for coffee so when the coffee ended up tasting REALLY good paired together with its orgasmic rich moist chocolate cake – I was more than happy coz now we have this place as an option for great coffee and cake whenever we’re in Gardens.

And yes it’s a mirror image coz bestie and I have the tendency of ordering the SAME thing, always :)

Dear thighs and bum, please forgive me for you will bear the brunt of this sinful indulgence.

Catching up after 15 years! It was soo good re-living our school moments and ‘gossiping’ about some ex-classmates, since obviously alot of us have differing sort of lifestyles.  And it’s also funny how the ‘mean’ girls, girls who we thought stood a chance to lead a fabulous lifestyles now aren’t doing so well….hmm, life! Anyhos, our session went on for hours and would have been that way if mommy duty didn’t call.

Group photo of the ladies

And as I mentioned before, I have a Coffee Club formed. To date, the only members are the husband and myself, lol coz no one else seems to be so keen on coffee-joint-hopping! I’ve had it with Starbucks (well except for their Asian Dolce Latte) and I’m 100% convinced there are lots of coffee cafes that serve better coffee than Starbucks and I’ve been right so far :)

Our recently coffee adventure brought us to LewisGene, located in Solaris Mont Kiara.

It’s located on the first floor above ChillaCup (another coffee place that I’d like to visit) and I love how cozy this cafe is.

I spy with my little eye….little one treating the place like she owns it.

Think I was telling her off about something, and yes when it comes to children, it’s all in the eyes people (no matter how crazy it might make you look in public)! I can cock-stare Sairah across the room when she’s naughty without saying a word and she’ll get the hint, LOL.

I love how patient the husband looks while I took this photo. Or maybe he’s just finding more ways to recruit more coffee club members into our tiny club, haha.

I had the cafe latte while the husband had an americano i think.  We both LOVED our drink to bits, it was rich and super smooth – by far the smoothest coffee I’ve had for sure. If I’m not mistaken, all their beans are from Italy.

Go on, you know you wanna grab my drink.

They also serve a basic menu for dining. I went for the Chicken Spaghetti Bolognese which was pretty filling and flavorful.

The husband had some sort of sandwich and I remember him saying it was yummy and exceeded his expectations. So what can I say la – food and coffee here will certainly keep you and your tummy happy.

Baby-Daddy doing some light reading and killing time after a good meal.

Overall coffee experience 4.5/5 and that just says alot. Total bill didn’t exceed RM50,we paid only half coz we bought the cash voucher from Living Social :)

Do check out their Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/LewisGeneEspresso and if you have a favorite coffee joint to share, spill it!

And if grabbing a cup of coffee at half price excites you, like me, then do check this and this deal out.

The Rest Of Krabi And Our Honeymoon Story

The Rest Of Krabi And Our Honeymoon Story

Going back to Krabi almost felt like we had rewind the clock to 5 years ago. Of course, one look in the mirror made me realize we weren’t coz 5 years ago, a fat body didn’t stare back. And I didn’t have a clingy toddler to remind me of the ‘present’ .

Krabi will always be special in a way because that was our honeymoon destination where we first went as husband and wife and boy did we have an adventure where we lived to tell! Not much as changed in Krabi and I can still remember the roads and little nooks and crane that we explored 5 years ago, sans a toddler in tow that is :D And till today, I can still remember the tsunami fiasco while having a massage which prompted everyone to pack up and just run fearing for their lives. I tried however to look for that same massage place but couldn’t find it. And if that’s not enough, there was a plane crash in Phuket by a local carrier that killed everyone on board – that sort of sent relatives in a frenzy coz they assumed we were in Phuket and might have taken that flight. Like I said – our honeymoon was one of a kind!

SO why Krabi as a honeymoon destination? Well simply because it was the only place the husband could afford.

True story.

When we first talked about picking our honeymoon destination, Maldives came to both our minds. Of course with that also came a heavy price tag which the husband was okay taking on considering he assumed he had a few more months to save up before the big day.

But then our wedding date got brought MUCH earlier, and with his recent splurge and renovation on his apartment, he broke the news of not being able to afford going on an extravagant honeymoon and asked if we could go someplace cheaper lighter on his wallet.

I do believe that was my first test/challenge as his wife, hahaha having to put up with cheapness and bad times, lol.

Our budget for our honeymoon must have been under RM2k or less I think for about 8 days. So yes in that sense I do cringe whenever I hear brides talk about their extravagant and exotic honeymoon that cost over RM20k coz that’s like 10 times more than what we spent! *bitter mode*, lol.

But surprisingly I wasn’t upset at all when he told me. I should have been – it was our honeymoon for God’s sake. But I was cool as a cucumber – mainly because I’ve always been fond of Thailand and would use ANY excuse to go there. And besides, I didn’t want to be that woman who makes a big deal about their honeymoon and demand to be taken to crazy exotic places just coz my vagina is made of gold because there’s no point blowing such money and having to suffer in the first year of marriage esp when that money would be of good use to start off of a new home.

I can be wise when I want to :D

SO we initially booked flights to Bangkok (of all places!) to spend our first week as husband and wife. And I actually booked us into budget hotel to stay and it was heart breaking to later find out as we stepped into the hotel that our bookings weren’t confirmed due to some glitch and we were officially left without a hotel room since the hotel was already full! 20 minutes later after some arguing with the owner, a Thai Indian guy, told us to go over to his friend’s hotel where we were given a ‘suite’ at a special rate and mind you, it was a walk up 3 star hotel perhaps that totally remind me of all things Punjab!! To top it off, it was located upstairs a tailor shop owned by that Punjabi guy!!

Charming really.

But at least it’s near a train station we told ourselves being the typical optimistic newly weds we were, hahaha.  Now that I think about that place, I miss it. I can’t for the life of me recall the name of the hotel though.

Was I upset? Initially, a little coz aren’t honeymoons suppose to be perfect? I guess it will be if you’re not on a stinky budget! But sooner,  that place grew on me. Like what better way to embrace a lil bit of Punjabi-ness while in Thailand! It was a sign = Punjabi + Thai = part of ME!  Sure at one time we could even hear some couple banging in the next room due to the thin walls (I took a bet with a hubby it was probably some prostitute or worst still a she-male) but like I said, by day 2, we were loving the hotel – thin walls and all :D  I swear I told myself one day I’ll have an outlet to tell the awesome story of our honeymoon and here it is :)

But I digress. Somewhere after booking our Bangkok flight, I came across Air Asia’s Krabi promotion and excitedly the husband booked our flight from Bangkok to Krabi and  YES we booked it and decided we would fly to KL-Bangkok-Krabi for the first few days of our honeymoon, like a bunch of idiots not knowing that Kl-Krabi would have only cost us a 1.5 hours flight compared to the 2.5 hours flight to Bangkok only to sprint across Bangkok airport like a bunch of lunatic to catch the flight that we almost missed and which would back track and take us to Krabi!!

Brilliant much? Yup it literally took us half a day to get to Krabi :)

See, there’s proof that we weren’t smart travelers then. BUT we’ve become so much wiser ever since our first trip as husband and wife and that is what you call practice and getting smarter over the years, lol. I know research research research like a crazy bitch before going anywhere.

We stayed in the same hotel we did – which was Krabi La Playa Resort and its nice to see that even after 5 years nothing much has changed with the hotel. Hmm, not sure if that’s a good thing or bad

One of the things that brightened our day then was seeing this elephant shaped towel and it was good to see Sairah being all happy about it too. It’s the simple things people.

Morning view from the balcony.

The sunset view from the balcony.

Elephants sunbathing. Oops I mean tourist sunbathing. I could never be one of those fat people who would be more than happy to dangle my big belly in public and worst still just frolic in a bikini. Just saying.

Aonang Area

The beach just 10 minutes walk from the hotel.

The best part about this hotel I feel is the little street food stalls located just a 2 minute walk. It was constantly packed because not only was food CHEAP it tasted GOOD too.

One of my favorites when in Thailand is to hunt for these pancakes.

Banana-Nutella Pancake biatch or as I call it Thai-style crepes :) Had it every day we were there.

Did I already mention Krabi was stinking hot this time?

No? How sexy is this photo?

Good thing the poor baby wasn’t too arsed about sweating all over her head.

Nothing like teaching the little one to sit on a road side stall waiting for dinner. That is until the damn rain greeted us and we ran halter skelter like as though rain was acid.

A random Indian restaurant that we visited coz Sairah wanted her chapati. No matter how mixed one can be, sometimes just cannot take the bhai blood out  ya know.

Of course typically every Thai trip has one photo of the husband hogging beer bottles its cheap and I give him the freedom to knock himself out :) Not quite literally, but you get the jist.

Baby girl somehow very keen to help her father out, hmm..

More sand sea and ocean view.

Ah clingy baby wants mommy to carry her.

And of course like I said before, I have a soft spot for Black Canyon! They do serve the BEST coffee in Thailand. Even the food isn’t too bad and a whole lot better than the ones served in KL. But I do drop by their KL outlets for their drinks whenever I can.

Can’t drink coffee yet so I’ll just help stir-stir-stir

And if you ever go to Krabi, you MUST visit Kodam Kitchen located near our hotel. It’s one of those rare gem of a restaurant that cooks authentic Thai food that cost half the price of what the other mat sallehs/tourist were paying on the other end.

Suckers! Food so good we went three times!

Sign of good food – when all plates are empty and you see the husband still fighting for whatever’s left of it.

Scene around Krabi town taken from our tuk tuk.

@ Krabi Town

A good trip always makes this little one sleep throughout the night. Heart this photo of her – so much innocence in it. It’s a different story when she’s awake of course.

And that was our lil trip to Krabi with the little one in tow with bits of memories from our honeymoon 5 years ago. And now we can add on more since we went back there with our child.  It was indeed good to be back there just for a few days.

And as for my honeymoon story, we did have a good time then and of course there’s a happy ending to it esp when the husband suprised me three years later with a trip Maldives after I gave birth to his dream daughter :D  You can read about our adventure here so it’s true when they say good things do happen to people who wait.

So now I’m waiting for a trip to Santorini or New York which are also my two dream desination :D Just saying!

Baby-Aunt Party Date

27 Mar

Baby-Aunt Party Date

I read in a mommy blog somewhere that the best free baby-sitting service you can get is by getting a bunch of friends and taking turns dropping the kids off at their place so you can get some time off plus hey free baby sitting. I wouldn’t consider doing that now coz I feel she’s too young to be away from family/familiar faces but in the future, that’s definitely a great way of having a play date + quiet time don’t you think?

But that also raises up the issue of just how comfortable are you letting someone else take care of your child outside the comfort of your home without your presence?

For me, I am most comfortable when my mom is caring for Sairah – they can be at home, or they can even go out together and I am extremely comfortable with that, mainly coz she’s my mom who has cared for Sairah from day 1 and knows her too well.

Beyond my mom, sis , dad and my aunt (and of course by natural default the husband) I wouldn’t dream of leaving her alone with anyone else at this point, though my sis and dad only take care of her when they’re at home.

So when my BabySis told me she wanted to take Sairah to her boss’s farewell party a month ago as her plus one and show off her niece, I was a lil afraid. Not that I didn’t trust my sister’s capability in taking care of her, I wasn’t sure if she’d cope with Sairah and if Sairah would cope being alone with her aunt, outside their usual environment lol.

It was their first time going out together alone you see :)  Never mind the countless of times she helped baby sit Sairah at home, it’s different when you go out and when it’s just the two of you. Lots of things ran through my mind – would she be able to handle feeding her, would she know what to do if she suddenly choked, would she watch her properly and ensure she doesn’t knock anything off or more importantly, make sure if nothing falls on my baby girl?

And all the husband could tell Sairah was make sure you make a big poo so aunty can clean you up there!

Men!

But yes, I’m a lil paranoid in that sense. With the exception of my mom, I’m always thinking of worst case scenarios whenever I leave her with the husband. If they are home, then I usually don’t have a problem. But if we’re out and he’s handling alone then yes there is never a moment of peace and quiet mentally for me.

Like for example, during the recent trip,  the days I went for a massage while the husband was out with Sairah walking around – I was worried – worried that he might not watch her properly, worried she might trip over something and hurt herself, and on one occasion I had to cut short my foot massage coz I knew it was already getting late and they would have got out from the pool – I was totally freaking out at the idea of the husband drawing her bath….as usual worst case scenarios like what if he leaves her in the tub and walks off, what if he doesn’t watch her well and she slips and fall in the bathroom!

So after 45 minutes of massage I told the lady I had to leave early and paid her in full. I was hugely relieved when I got back just in time as they got out of the pool. I call that my motherly instinct :D  The only time I enjoyed my massage and could afford to doze off was when I already had put Sairah off to sleep with the husband in the room and slowly sneaked out to get a massage.

Like what could possibly happen if she’s sound asleep right? But I digress – there are times at night I always get up automatically just to make sure her pillow or bolster is not covering her face or nose.

I’m not usual this paranoid of a person (honest!) but hell, when it comes to Sairah I just want to make everything is perfect. I’m sure alot of mommies out there can relate to this.

So back to my sis, we dropped her off in one of the apartments in Mont Kiara and Sairah was as very wary of this new place. She kept asking where were we going and I told her her aunt was taking her to a party. To which of course she said ’dowan’ and started bursting out a lil.  So I had to tell her she was off to a mall with her aunt, just to soften things. Besides that freaking apartment did look like a damn mall! Also told her mommy and daddy were going to the supermarket nearby to buy groceries to make muffins for her and promised her we’ll be back soon.

Now that lie was particularly true. Coz I did end up buying some groceries :D

After my sis came down to take her somewhat confused-scared niece, we waited outside for a good 10 minutes just to see if my sis would call us back urging us to take the brat back! But nope, no calls and my sis eventually said Sairah’s a lil shy around her colleagues but all’s good. I remember reciting a list of dos and donts and she just hung up on me, LOL.

With a heavy heart, we went off to have dinner in Solaris Mont Kiara. And as pathetic as this might sound, all we could do was talk about Sairah even though we should have taken the time as a nice couple time.

Of course, we still had the strength to order food – tummy still needs to be filled what :p

Looking at a video of Sairah me think.

Paranoid mother or what? I think at that point of time I doubt Sairah even cared if mommy was away buying bananas for cupcakes!

Arabic food in Dareen @ Solaris Mont Kiara. What can I say except totally yummy!

After 45 minutes, just when I was thinking of rushing to pick my child up, I got this text from my sis.

Excuse the manglish :D

Apparently she had settled into her usual self and was having the ball of time running around the apartment.

The minute she got into the car, all she could do was talk about the party, like how the uncle chased her around and carried her like dad does (to which I told her hey guess we found a replacement daddy incase, heh) and of course little one was slightly delirious coz she was on a happy high which could only mean one thing – THEY FED HER CAKE!

Oh yes they did :) Sis admitted to it the next day but hey a mom can always tell eh.

Oops got caught, Mommy The Detective found out.

Still telling us about the party date she had with her aunt. What can I say except I was paranoid for nothing. They both had a ball of a time, more so the little one who apparently captured some hearts there. When I asked her if she wanted to go again to the Uncle’s house, all she said was ‘yes….mommy you come, daddy you come too’! Haha free invites.

Sigh, they grow up so fast don’t they?

And I was telling  BabySis in the future if she wants to keep Sairah longer at parties, she should totally let me know in advance so we could go get a foot massage to kill time. She asked why didn’t we do it then coz she would have loved to keep Sairah there longer and guess what I told her?

I completely forgot to shave my leg that day – so If there’s a next time, just let me know.

LOL how pathetic am I? But hey mommies who long for such luxurious will totally get it :D And now I”m looking forward to more Baby-Aunt dates so I can squeeze in some quiet Q time and this time, yes, I will shave those legs first :D

Bag Of Love – Thinking Outside The ‘Box’

25 Mar

Bag Of Love – Thinking Outside The ‘Box’

Haha I”m so pun-y :D

Aight, let’s keep up with the beauty box momentum (I’m afterall expecting to receive up to 5 boxes this month *cough* addiction!)- are you sick and tired of beauty boxes yet ladies? NO? Well rejoice then for we have a NEW kid on the block. Except, this time it comes in a BAG form – a rebel in the beauty box industry?  Why of course…and the good kind coz I like how fresh and different this concept is!

Naturally with close to 30 million people in Malaysia, you’re bound to meet someone who can think out of the box aye? Hence the conception of Bag Of Love - which is the brain child of Mi Mi Teh. If her name sounds awfully familiar then you must have read her articles in Female where she worked once as a Beauty Writer. I really do think its great  that someone who knows the beauty industry well has taken on this challenge coz rest assured, the future bags will be nothing short of relevance and stuffed with products we ladies will learn to love.

Each month, your beauty products will come in a cute nifty lil bag which you can of course re-use as a makeup bag or pencil case. And according to Mi Mi, each bag will be of a different color jus to break that monotony. I could roll with that – coz why have bags of the same color when there are different colors to play with.

The box was scheduled to be sent out at a later date so it was a nice suprise when she announced she was sending it earlier! It took a while for Airpak to deliver my box (5 days from the day it was sent out) so my only gripe is as usual…why don’t people stick to Pos Laju? By far the most efficient courier service in Malaysia.

There was a big ho-ha regarding the squashed boxes by the ladies on the Facebook page (due to the material I suppose) so accordingly, Bag of Love will make do without these boxes next month which I’m all for coz that only means more trees are saved :D No need to see ladies bickering on FB anymore over squashed boxes, lol.

Pretty cute huh?

Gotta heart the love zipper/charm.

First look of my stripy pink and black bag – absolutely screams my new makeup bag!

That’s Mi Mi right there. I like how the welcome note and card is kept simple. It’s not too long winded with long wordy words because I really do think if you need more information on products, a simple google search wouldn’t hurt. Plus there’s more info on the website anyway.

What’s in the debut bag.

It was nice to see a complimentary movie pass – my first time receiving such a gift. See, if this doesn’t take the cake for thinking outside of the box then I don’t know what is :D

Onto the goodies of course…

Revlon Professional Color Sublime Treatment, 200ml, RM88.

This came in 75ml which to me is considered a pretty good deluxe size - approx RM33 in value. I’ve used it twice so far and I LOVE it! The formula almost seems clay like and goes on smoothly on my hair. My hair highlights which I thought no longer existed popped out a bit as a result and the husband even commented how the color was suddenly so visible and nice looking. Which prompted him to ask me to get it highlighted again.  At his expense. Hair was left soft and frizz free. And to be honest, even if you don’t have colored hair, I really don’t think it’s a sin to use this regardless :D

I give this product a 4 star rating *flicks soft frizz free hair*

Murad Vitalic Energizing Pomegrante Cleanser, 150ml, RM148

I thought I could escape getting yet another Murad item together with the RM30 discount voucher but lo and behold – I found the 50ml cleanser (value approx RM49) in the bag! I guess Murad now has officially ‘been around the block  box’ in every beauty box there is in Malaysia, lol. Anyway will keep the cleanser aside for trips which I think will most definitely come in handy.

Lunasol Skin Fusing Powder Foundation SPF20/PA++, 10.5g, RM140 (Case, RM60 - sold separately).

I received this in the Vanity Trove Box so I wasn’t that keen on getting it again but nevertheless this adds a nice high end mix to the bag for those who have yet to receive this before.

Can’t remember the size of this sample but it’s enough to use for a few applications to decide if the color/formulation suits you well.

Of course included in the bag is the Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire EDT where the 50ml sets you off by RM248. I reckon this trial size will set off alot of ladies into deciding if they should buy the full bottle. God knows that’s how I found myself loving the Eli Saab perfume which I otherwise wouldn’t have discovered on my own.

And here is what I”d like to think as the ’star’ of the bag – Definite Face Blending Brush, full size – RM98!

Never before have I received a brush from other beauty boxes and god knows we do need good brushes esp if you’re into makeup. Cannot wait to use this!!

Overall look of the bag. You can check out the debut bag on their site here.

What do you ladies think? Impressed much? Did any one of you subscribe to it? There were some debut beauty bags left for subscription but I got a bit late in drafting this post so as of today, March subscription is closed. But fret not coz April is just around the corner :D

I do believe the overall value of the items are over RM200! For me I personally think it’s a pretty good debut bag. There’s a lil bit of everything in there – for face, makeup, perfume and hair. The full size brush is certainly most impressive because to date I’ve yet to receive any sort of tools in my beauty box. So who knows, maybe a nice eyelash curler will be in store for us ladies in the future?

Approved! Unrelated but I like how vivid the colors of her Timmy Time cartoon looks in this photo :D

What do you think ladies? What do you think? Reckon someone wackier would come up with a different beauty ‘box’ concept in the future? Like for instance beauty products that come in a ‘plastic bag’  for those plastic people (filled with botox and fake eyelash extension vouchers and what not – now that’s a thought) Ahem. Hmm, that would be interesting to see.
