Kizsports & Gym
14 Jun
One of the things that I LOVE to do on a Monday morning to beat the Monday blues is to sit and plan out the impending weekend on my diary! That seriously makes the week bearable coz at least there’s something to look forward to at the end of the week. Sure some might call it being plain OCD/being life-less , I call it ‘productivity’ at some point
And with a toddler in tow, sometimes it’s best to map out where you intend to go and where you plan on eating coz its way easier than winging it. No more living life on the edge and spontaneously for us obviously since someone’s arrival, hah.
And because of my power planning our weekends are jam packed with things to do.
Anyway, on Saturday I decided to take the little one to Kizsports in Bangsar Village. I’ve been trying to find the perfect kids sports /play area for a while now. One that will not cost an arm and a leg or force you to sign up upfront. We took her to MV the other day and while the website said kids 2 and below are welcomed, we didn’t find ANY sort of play area decent enough for her. And coz of that we left MV within 10 minutes.
That’s when I remembered Kizsports (no idea why they sucked the D out of KIDZ) in Bangsar Village (they have other outlets too) coz we’ve passed by it many times. So off we went mid-morning (back in the day I would have been STILL sleeping but look at me now, all up and about at such an ungodly hour, ahem) for Sairah to play.
Entrance free is RM12 for children below 2 and they have a comfy size area for the little ones to go wild. Play time is unlimited of course, though we stayed only for 45 minutes. My only gripe was how some big buffaloes were playing in that area despite the sign 2 years and below. Can I blame them for wanting to be 2? Well no coz sometimes I wish I was that age too! Coz you get to sleep, cry, eat, throw tantrums, cry, poo ANYWHERE and ANYTIME you wish and still be labelled CUTE! Try doing that as an adult and see what happens!
Below are some photos of Sairah enjoying herself. I dressed her up in a simple black loose tee which I bought from Kuching (the cat design on it does very much look like a Baby Phat symbol doesn’t it?) and pink shorts for maximum comfort running around.
She seemed attracted to the slide that leads into a pool of balls. She plopped herself there for the longest time refusing to budge.
Oh just chillin
Soon there were more kids there and she had that ‘let me in look NOW’ Hands already up before the father can even lift her, hehe.
Don’t let this photo fool you, there were tons of kids around.
I like this photo coz you can see some parents running after their kids! This place allows 2 parents in for free, so long you have socks. Kids and adults MUST have socks here. I just sat on their sofa seat taking photos since I forgot mine :D It was unintentional, honest!
Baby girl enjoyed the other ball-less slide too
And most definitely had a soft spot for the tunnel – her first time!
I wonder where that tunnel leads to….a Moo Cow outlet perhaps?
Almost there!
Phew, made it out ALIVE! YES! I reckon Baby Girl will pass the Cu Chi tunnel tour!
45 minutes well spent I say.
And for the best part – I love how this completely tired her out! She was already cranky during lunch time and knocked out in the car by 2pm!! Her bed time is usually around 3.30-4pm mind you. So perhaps the next time we take her, it will be after lunch or better still in the evening so a quiet still night would be most certainly guaranteed
If you have any other go-to play gym/centers that you swear by, do share, coz we’re on a mission to check em all out!

Hey Babe! So nice that as parents, you guyz take the initiative to have Sairah explore stuff. Unlike some parents, who bring their child out for their own purposes only. Especially when they go shopping! Sairah is really lucky babe, to have u both as her parents!
Hey babe, there are alot of parents who take their kids for such things too, although we did see some of them dropping off their kids with their maids alone which to me is a big no no la. These are the very rich ones of course la. Thanks, and we’re lucky to have her
Love that tunnel pic.
Can see from Sairah’s expression that she’s so curious and in awe.
Did she mingle with other kids?
Haha me too. When your nephew is bigger, bring him here to play, then you can be an awesome cool Uncle
She did, but they were too busy running around playing!
Wow! Super coowl that she’s taken the initiative to mingle with other kids.
I am really curious as to how my nephew would react? I am gonna take him to our condo’s play ground later today.
The last I heard from my mom, a little girl @ Singapore’s shopping mall (his age) actually walked over to his pram and held his hands! But he detracted! OMG… such a shy baby. lol.
Which reminds me, girls seem braver to socialize at such a tender age don’t they?
She has her moments, sometimes she’s shy, sometimes she’s too brave.
I think he’ll love it, you have to slowly introduce him to his new surrounding. Sairah loves going to the swing at the playground at my parent’s place.
LOL aww that’s so cute! I think he probably got a shock coz it was a new face holding his hands so that’s why he was cautious. But good observant skills, at least he knows a stranger when he sees one! And yes girls are indeed brave and more sociable thesedays.
Sairah look cute- as usual. What’s with daddy’s fashion? Nice socks
. Did you forget to check on his fashion last weekend? Nah, he looks cool. No idea why but my eye just focus on his sock this time round. Naughty me I know.
Eh, there are one at BSC too. I don’t know how good it is. I was told that Kidz Sports used to be there. The management kick them out (by increasing their rent). They then do their own version of gym/ playground for kids.
I’ve been to Kidz Sports once when CIMB launches their kids account. I have not been to BSC one though (just walk pass when I did my research on the place.
Thanks. LOL I think you of all people should know her father has no fashion sense
These days I can’t be bothered with what he wears, my focus is on Sairah, hehe.
Oh Anand was telling me about the BSC one, will check it out soon. I didn’t know Kidzsports used to be there but I won’t be suprised about the higher rent. Lots of business come and go in Bangsar thesedays. Will let you know once we check out the BSC one.
Hubby and I love the kids’ gym at Ikano Power Centre (IPC), top most floor.
They have 2 sections to separate kids below 2yo and those above 2. Rides and games are interactive and our 21 month old loves the place, I do too!
I checked out Kizsports @ Great Eastern today and my daughter seemed slightly bored with the area at first (as there were no moving rides nor floating balloons and not much kids around) so I had to join her in climbing etc (I’m definitely getting a back ache tomorrow!) … She was ok after.
Hiya! Woah I never knew IPC got kids’ gym. I’m always on a look out for new ones. Will definitely check it out when I’m in that area.
Actually Kizsports seems to be like those old fashion type of kiddie gym where you only get slides and those climbing activities. I think they tire out the kids fast which is good for us, lol. For moving rides you gotta check out the Japs ones like Yu or Jkids….Sairah loves going there but it can be a pricey affair!
