Artsy Fartsy
8 Dec
So we know the little one loves the camera.
And it’s safe to say she takes this great trait after her mother, ahem
Good God, look how slim I was back then! Damn you child birth!
Yea you’re right, these pics are actually TOTALLY irrelevant. I found my old folder yesterday containing lots of photos back in the day and couldn’t resist putting it up. Please la, let me have my moment pleaseee. More to come for sure, hehe.
Okay now I’m depressed coz I look so different now
Moving on moving on…..
The little one’s father is quite the artist. Not the glam type but the one who can draw really well. I’ve seen some of his paintings and man, it’s amazing how those stubby fingers can actually draw that well. So I wondered, hmmm, would she take after her father’s skill? For the record Sairah has these freakishly long fingers like mine, so there is no doubt she will flourish at playing instruments but have to give in to the hubby a bit sometimes too I say.
Oh we’re gonna do what now on a Sunday?!
Are these even edible mommy?
Scribble scribble scribble….imma gonna draw a gieeeee.
The ‘artist’ giving some pointers to the little one.
After a while, this was the outcome. Except most of the retarded part came from mommy
You can tell I have zero drawing skills. I used to cheat in school by making my mom draw and swapping it with her work during exam
That’s daddy alright, you can tell from the nose, lol. And those little green obsession around him
After the drawing session, she managed to find my brand new eyeliner and decided it was something she would prefer to do with her free time!!
Naughty face ON! Let’s see what mischief I can come up with this thing in my hand.
Can I eat it?
Can the horsey eat this?
Oooo reckon I should hide it in my bicycle?
Oh hai mom, swear I have no notty thoughts going through my little head.
There, now mommy’s not gonna get to use this at all.
Took me a while before I could get hold of it back. I suspect this girl is going to be going through my makeup stash in a few years from now.
Btw, never knew I”d see the day where I would pick this up. It was a spur of the moment thing but I have to say, the eyeliner is pretty good, I have it on right now, hehe
Support local brands!
And this was something her daddy picked up being such an artsy person that he is. He got it at a bargain and after much thoughts where we should put it (I should mention that we have enough paintings in the apt already), we decided it should go in Sairah’s room.
I suck at interpreting paintings but all I could say to the hubby was, ‘the white goes really well with her pink wall’
Which is why I’m always in charge of dressing up baby girl coz I can color coordinate well, ahem, lol.

Lol…Im not born with an artistic mind, so I’m not good at all like you. :P
I loved the art that your hubby did, though. BTW, you certainly looked glowing after your childbirth. That’s the diff between before and after.
LOL Jessie, I”m bad at art, can cheat during exam sumore, hehe.
Awww thanks, I would love to shed more weight though. Miss my slim slender days.
Love your photos of Sairah and your comments! Sairah is sooooo cute… BTW where did u buy your paintings from? (Dont say Bali!) My house is devoid of any paintings and I have been thinking of buying some… Gotta give some life to those white walls!
Thanks, not easy taking photos of an active naughty toddler thesedays! We got it in Plaza Damas, lady (from China I think) has a stall near TGIF, it was their first day there. Infact they have like an art shop on the same floor. Starting price was RM180 (with the canvas mind you), hubby bargained till it was RM110. Didn’t think she was gonna let us have the canvas but she did
There’s this other painting stall that I higly recommend, its in Tesco near Curve. Hubby bought a few nice buddha paintings at a good price. Not sure if they are still there, it’s been years.
Ooh thanks for the information (and even the pricing!) Time for me to go shopping hehehe!
Yes it isnt easy to take photos of an active toddler. At least Sairah smiles for the camera. My boy decides to be naughty and turn his face away whenever he sees the camera!
Okay try Plaza Damas, you can easily bang down the price and get it at a bargain.
Oh no no, I have to do all sorts of trick to get her to smile, lol. Sometimes she smiles on her own. Anyway, when Sairah hangs out with Nikhil, she’ll give him a few pointers then, hehe
Wow… Nice. That painting caught my attention too :o).
I like the mischivious look. She look so adorable.
Oh, tell me how slim we were before compared to now. Age. SIGH. I hate it!
Of course it did, you also the artsy fartsy type
Hahaha yea her face that says ‘im up to no good’. Aaah siggggh, shaddup, you’re still slim okie!
Like you i also have zero artistic abilities LOL, dont feel depressed you can go back to how you looked before it just takes some time and alot of effort
High five! Sigh sigh, i doubt it will be like before, heck I dont even mind my pre-pregnancy weight. Alot of effort indeed, now I just need the time! Hope your diet plan is going good.
Hey! Sorry if this comes off as random. I’ve been reading your blog for a long time now, so first, Hello!
And I have to ask, which camera are you using to snap the pics of Sairah, esp in the last few posts. The reason I ask is because I am in search of a new camera myself. Thanks. Have a nice day.
Hey RR, Thanks for reading my bloggie, appreciate it
Oh I’m using Canon G12. My friend has one and I was impressed by the quality of the photos so my hubby got it for me for my b’day. No complains as I love this camera, not too heavy to carry it around so do consider it.
You can get it from this camera shop in Amcorp Mall. We paid RM1.6k with the lense protector.
Thanks a ton! I’m getting it sometime after the new year.
Enjoy your new camera then, you’re gonna LOVE it
The video recording in HD is amazingggg!
