The Aristocat Evening Cruise in Bali

27 Jan

January is my third fav month (after September and October, ahem), but more so the 25th of January :)

O’hai, I’m 32 today, I wonder what my wifey has in store for my birthday

This year, I wanted something more quiet, more private, more subtle to go with his age :) Although we moved to the hustle and bustle of Kuta the next day from Ubud, I wanted something unexpected and out of the norm and  after alot of research (my forte, heh), this was no doubt THE perfect plan for my man’s birthday.

So off we went after being picked up by a van to be greeted by this….

That’s right Birthday Boy, we’re going on an expensive cruise!

Somebody had NO clue whatsoever  :) (which is always the case every birthday)

The suprise was the Aristocat Evening Cruise where we were welcomed onboard their 64ft Sailing Catamaran with the sounds of live music and entertainment and fine dining.  Their promise? A truly memorable evening aboard, which was exactly what it delivered :)

We only had 3 other couples on board so this was truly exclusive (although would have been much better if we were the only ones).

I was hoping we’d be able to catch a glimpse of the sunset, which we did:

One happy birthday boy :)

We were served a 6-7 course meal but the highlight was the fresh fried salmon - absolute yums (for someone who’s not even a fan of salmon)

The cruise took about 2.5 hours, with the night getting darker and more romantic. I reckon this would be the best place for a proposal :)

Ah yes, he was really THAT excited

And sad at the end of our sail

There was threats of rain, infact when we had our appetizers, it started to drizzle a bit but luckily, it stopped! All in, this was probably one of the more romantic birthdays we’ve had :)

Oh and let’s not forget the little gift I got him

(It’s a dress belt from Armani Exchange and he LOVES it)

Thanks Wylane! Actually it cost me RM400 for two which is reasonable. They usually fit 7 couples but since we went low season, they were only 3 other couples on board! This cruise company has different kinds of cruises too but this one was more private la.

Hehe you’re right, never used to give him birthday cards before :)
