The New Phone

The New Phone

My crappy old phone was giving me some problems, constantly shutting itself down whenever I needed to use it the most. I was contemplating getting a new phone but couldn’t make up my mind on which one to get. So I did some research online and finally decided on one. Ah the life of an online shopaholic –  deciding on phones without testing them physically, haha, what is this world coming to thesedays?!

Anyway I commissioned my dad to find out the bestest best price available, only coz he’s friends with almost everyone in this world AND can get the bestest best deal around. I kid you not. He’s our go-to-man in the house!

I came back from work rather tired last week only to be greeted by a husband who was eager to go to PJ to buy some ‘tiles’ for our new apartment. Naturally I was a bit annoyed by his sudden plans coz I totally hate going out on weekdays thesedays! Besides, who’s going to look after the baby I asked him.

Sensing my annoyance, he had no choice but to let the cat out of the bag by saying that he had already told my dad to get the guy to reserve the phone I wanted and we were actually going there to pick it up. We were also suppose to do dinner that weekend followed by him giving me the gift. Since I was pretty close to getting it myself, the plans were somewhat altered. But seriously, this still deserves an awww moment :D

Off we went and I’m finally the new owner of the Sony Ericsson Vivaz Pro in Black :)

Love this baby to bits! I’ve actually tried the Iphone and Blackberry and didn’t like it (besides everyone has one of those thesedays and it’s expensive to maintain each month, hmpf) so I LOVE the fact that this baby is a touch screen and type phone – having the best of both worlds :D It also comes with HD video and a pretty decent camera which was my requirement so I can take Sairah’s photos on the go (can’t be scrambling to look for the damn camera everytime) and upload them onto Facebook. Been doing that often for the past few days, god knows how many people are getting annoyed with that, haha.

Sairah’s FIRST trip to the mall, oh how she loved it! And she had alot of attention too, ahem.

Oh mommy I love going out. Yup, a mall rat she is.

Clearly a morning person – unlike her parents!

As you can see, picture quality isn’t too shabby. Plus uploading it to FB is a breeze.

I could just go on and on about this phone, but best you read here to convince yourself what a decent phone this baby is that’s amazingly priced too!

Oh and thank you hubby for the wonderful gift although it’s your birthday that’s coming up soon and not mine. Now I feel pressured to get him a nice gift!:D

First Post Of 2011

First Post Of 2011

Happy Belated X’mas y’all. And Happy 2011.

The past one week have been pretty good and laid-back for us. I admit our partying days have taken a back seat and  might not be as ‘happening’ as last year, but I have to say I’m loving every second of it! As I’m going to hit the BIG 3-0 later on this year, I say let the mellow-ness begin!

X’mas Eve – Our usual X’mas eve dinner with the Loh Family.

All set to see Santa :)

With Aunty Alice

Babu Loh waiting for some Turkey

The Indians carving the turkey – it doesn’t get more ‘muhibbah’ than this :)

The said Turkey. Bye bye Birdie.

My mom’s log cake. Mmmm….log….cake

The baby who just loves to be out. Like her mom.

She always seems to doze off right before we have our meals, like as though she knows her momma needs to eat too! Thoughtful sweet child of mine.

At the stroke of midnight – Oops

There now, much betta!

What?? I”m on the bad-list this year??

WHY?

I DEMAND you re-think your tewpid list Mister.

Now now Sairah, that’s NOT very nice!

X’mas get- together at Madhu’s

Madhu’s new lovely place.

Aunty Anusha comes to visit on New Year’s Eve

Had a good time catching up with her. Sairah has taken a good liking to her too and I totally see her being Sairah’s piano teacher in a few years to come.

Teacher’s pet? You bet! But sssh don’t tell the other kids.

Put the camera down and play me some Powerpuff Girls motherrrr!

Later on that evening, my cousins came over and we had a small do and ushered in the New Year quietly. Sadly, of all days Baby Sairah slept off at 11pm (and she usually sleeps around 12-12.30a.m) so we couldn’t usher in 2011 with her. We later on drove to LHT (go figure) to keep my cousin Roshan happy. It was quite the entertainment.

Shera’s BBQ House Party @ New Year’s Day

Sadly only one photo of the little one before leaving in her Hello Kitty bareback dress, lol. Don’t know why I hardly take photos when I’m out these days, maybe coz my hands are fully occupied with the baby, diaper bag, toys and what not.

I think it’s time to hire my own photographer, anyone interested? :D Sairah will pay you in hugs and kisses. Now that’s MUCH better than getting paid!

3 Months Milestone

3 Months Milestone

So my baby girl is already 3 months. That’s almost close to 100 days on this planet earth! May GOD continue to bless and guide her well.

At 3 months she can already:

Hold her head very steady (infact she was already doing this at 1 month which amazed her pediatrician)!

Turn on her own (again, started doing this at 1 month)

Scream / laugh/ giggle/ smile/ cry/ pout/sulk – you name the expression, missy already has mastered it. This also includes the art of melting her daddy’s heart – the only knight who will come to her rescue when mommy is being super strict with her :D  That also makes her a smart cookie for choosing her ‘victim’ well…..like her mom, heh :)

Play with her spit and make bubbles.

Can coo, make baby talk, sometime grandma talk too when she goes on for hours!

Respond to her name, our voices or when you go coo.  There is always some sort of conversation going on with just these two simply words: Ahhhh coooooo.

Hold objects for a short while.

Hold her hand together, which also includes putting her fingers/entire fist in her mouth most of the time!

Play on her own for short periods of time. She can clearly recognize her toys already.

Fake cough – YUP, little one has mastered the art of fake coughing to get some attention.

Watch tv, react to cartoons/tv shows like as if she really knows what’s going on.

Unleash her kepoh side, lol. She’s constantly stretching her cute little neck to look at things / sounds and basically just absorb her surroundings. And she loves lights!!

What’s she’s attempting to do now: Sit up (for real) and she’s trying to hold her bottle on her own!

What she needs to do:

SLEEP – this is still our no 1 concern because this baby just refuses to sleep. And as the bodysuit I got her says ‘if I don’t sleep, no one does’ truly does apply! She only takes cat naps in the afternoon lasting for 30 minutes each time. Her baby doctor says her power naps only means she’s a smart productive baby. I love a smart productive baby but it really wouldn’t hurt for her to sleep more.

Stick to her 4.5oz feed every 3 hours – She seems to be demanding for the next feed after 2 hours-2.5 hours. It’s something we can’t afford to let her have because her weight is on the above average scale.

That said, I’ve taken out yet another pile of clothes for her to wear and I’m damn adamant that she’ll at least get to wear it once before out-growing it. This is what happens when you over-shop or when you start shopping when you were just 2 months pregnant!

No mommy I don’t want to look at your stupid camera.

*sulk mode* Not too pleased with being dumped into the car seat obviously.

The annoyed-what-the-hell-is-on-my-head look.

Aaah just one of those days….

The sleepy milk face – YAY for Milk!

What up Ma!

The puss in boots look that can melt any heart.

Bring on the fourth month yo!

Sairah’s 1st Party

6 Dec

Sairah’s 1st Party

Goodness, does 1 year really fly that fast? It feels like it was only yesterday that we had the Christmas reunion in JB (also the night I got knocked up yes!) with these bunch and here we are again for Grace’s wedding in KL with baby in tow!

The first event was a little get together on Friday night. It was also Baby Sairah’s FIRST party debut and introductory to the Chong family. So far the kid has only been out three times for short dinners hence I was a little anxious and worried about how she’ll carry herself :)  As it, packing for such an outing was also quite the task. I quickly came from work and straight away worked on putting all her clothes, diaper, milk, hot water, warm water, bottles, bibs (yes not just one but a few), towels, more diapers,  cotton balls, toys etc into the diaper bag carefully not forgetting a single important item. And boy did I run through the list many many times in my head!!

Happy to report that it went very very well and she was indeed the BELLE of the party *proud*

Let’s get this party started mommieee!!

The scene and people

Can you see how HAPPY and proud my dad looks?

Showing off his grandchild to someone

And here’s the equally very proud mommy

Get your fingers off your mouth baby girl! Oh she doesn’t look happy I know.

With Aunty Alice who is majorly taken up by Sairah :)

Here’s us with Uncle Deric aka Babu Loh our childhood friend. Babu being his Indian name was coined by Sis and I justtt for him.

Babu was being plain ol’ Babu by trying his very best to annoy my baby

And of course in true Babu fashion, he succeeded, see that disgusted look she gave him?

She definitely learns her expressions well from her mommy alright! :D

Baby and her attention seeking whore father!

Just the cute baby staring intently to the camera :D

Of course must not forget a photo with the bride-to-be standing next to me.

Had to take a break from all that posing to feed my baby! So un-glam with the white nappy hanging over mah shoulder…

But a mama’s gotta do what a mama’s gotta do to keep her little one full.

My baby was really taken up by Uncle Steve, who also recently became a father two weeks ago to a cute baby girl named Naomi.

Yay – I already like you mister.

See the adoring look she’s giving him. I think she likes Chinese guys, heh

And here’s the best part, despite all that NOISE, she managed to doze off well.  Do you know how difficult it is to get this baby to nap in the evening at home?!

Baby’s daddy acting all silly. One shall not waste spilt wine. And it wasn’t him for the record.

Sairah with my dad’s wonderful maid who’s returning to Indonesia next week! She takes good care of my baby like it’s her own . Good help is so hard to come by thesedays.

And here’s the little one all tired out at the end of the party.

It was a joy having her around. She was easy going, loved being out (like her mom!), enjoyed the noise and attention (like her dad!), made people smile just looking at her and with that we’ll definitely be taking her out more because we know it makes her very happy.

Romance After Birth

Romance After Birth

Does it exist?

Well only if you make time for it :D

This is my third trip to Porto Romano in TTDI for some fantastic Mediterranean food.  It’s very hard to find a restaurant that maintains the quality and taste of their food every visit, but PR does a fantastico job!

Let’s see……..what to have?

The interior as you can see is small and cozy – perfect for intimate dates I reckon.

The drinks: Hot chocolate for the missus and coffee for the hubby….

Because we he needed it bad from babysitting our baby the night before :D

For starters we had the Brushetta which was lovely and definitely unlike the crap we had at the over-priced cut throat Alexis in Gardens a week ago! Okie they do make good pizzas though.

Followed by the Arabiatta Spaghetti for me. I requested for a slightly mild version thanks to booby duty - 5 out of 5 yummy points!

And here’s the stuffed chicken breast for the hubster – also 5 out of 5 yummy points so you see, you REALLY can’t go wrong with this restaurant!! The bill came up to slightly over RM80 which was worth every cent and of our time.

We even got a 20% discount card for our next visit which the hubby is clinging on with his dear life :D

Must remember to use it in the next 8 days??

Heck, I just realized that I don’t have ANY photos of me and the baby together on this blog. So here’s THREE photos taken after my yummy lunch (yea we had a romantic LUNCH – who says romantic dates are reserved only for dinners?!) at PR.  Probably explains the huge satisfied smile on my face too, heeh.

*Proud Mummy*

If you look close enough, my baby has mad awesome eye lashes at 2 months. This girl will never ever ever need a tube of mascara, unlike her mommy.

I swear Sairah sometimes looks like a pretty boy, just like her dad coz her grandma for some reason LOVES dressing her up in blue. Something tells me her favorite color is going to be none other but blue.

I see a camera pointing at me, hence I must strike a pose!

And here’s a photo of her first stroll in the Graco stroller we got her.  She looks just too cute!

P.s: Read here for our first visit to PR.
