Ever since graduating into toddler-hood and being absolutely mobile on her own, Sairah’s room has NEVER looked NEAT and TIDY like how it used to be before. I don’t recognize those two words anymore and my back is slowlyyy giving way from picking up after her.

Now, her room constantly looks like something EXPLODED in there. No joke. I thought these things only happen when they become teenagers? I sometimes feel like I have, not one, but FIVE kids! Coz I can only imagine this amount of messing around would require more pair of hands, feet and evil minds but apparently I’m wrong. My daughter alone is capable of pulling such a feat.

This is her room at a glance.  Not for the weak heart for sure Honestly, how does a baby of almost 16 months manage to turn her tiny room topsy turvy is something I’ll never know. Every toy gets digged out and moved around.

She likes to open up the pink box filled with smaller toys and pull out every single one of em until she gets bored. Sometimes, the whole box gets toppled and pushed down, she rummages through to see what she can find and then leaves it to move on to other toys.

Even her little scooter/car thingy doesn’t get spared. She drives it around and then decides to park em in front of her bears!

Even the play mat has moved it’s position! I don’t even know that’s possible since there are toys on it thus weighing it down. Sometimes when her room gets cleaned and everything is in proper position, I take in a DEEP BREATH and enjoy the view, coz I know in a few mins time once bear-bear makes an appearance, her room will hardly be the same again

Ok the drawing board was moved by her mommie, lol, coz I was updating the board by wishing it a Happy New Year, haha.

Would most definitely be teaching her how to pick up her toys when she’s capable of doing so. What comes out of the box, obviously needs to go in too

But for now, she gets away with it for being a real cutie, seriously with an uber cool face like this, how not to pick up after her?

Ma, I’m too cool to pick up mah toys. I’d delegate that task to daddy if I were you.

Recently Dealmates.com had this awesome Kiddie photoshoot deal that only cost RM47 that was too good to resist so I bought it and redemeed it on Christmas day. That was the only day they were available anyway

We only had all of 1 hour for this shoot so we promptly got to The Strand before her 12pm session and had a nice chat with Priscilla who is the photographer’s wife. She explained how the shoot will be done and asked us what sort of concept we prefer eg: natural / sporty / seasonal / studio shots and we naturally picked natural and studio shots (as per the photos below obviously).  They also wanted to know the baby’s background and reaction to the camera, new surrounding etc which is all important to the photographer to capture that perfect moment.

And being Sairah personal slave stylist, naturally I brought our OWN outfit

We started off with the natural pose, to capture natural moments and lighting. Helps that they have this cute lil playground indoor.

Oh yea, photographing a child is indeed a passion!!  You require TONS of patient. This is what the behind-the-scene really looks like – you have a child minder trying hard to make the kid smile and laugh, while the parents stand in front of the child giving her the ultimate support you would except out of a parent

The natural concept took all of 10 minutes (though it felt much longer). A quick biscuit break as Bryan sets the studio for my little star.

He suggested we use this bumble bee outfit for the little one , buzz buzz!

We later changed into this gorgeous can can dress Wylane sent allll the way from UK! And topped it up with their retro headband.

It’s not always easy trying to get a toddler to sit in one spot, after a few attempts of ‘trying’ to run away, she finally sat put and did her thing for the camera!

What REALLY goes on behind the scene! See told you, photographing a kid isn’t the easiest task.

Next up was this dress I got from Mudpie from the US. I swear it’s a gorgeous little number with its bright color blocking. Topped it up with a pink headband, and cute props and wala:

Her daddy and mommy were sooooooo proud of her! Can’t you tell the proud look the father is giving? That plus he was super tired from all that cheering around

Calling for the bill, hahahaha. Baby completely knocked out after a quick lunch. Literally SLEPT the minute the car moved.

And because she did such a great job (actually cheat one la, already ordered this drawing board weeks ago!), we got her a little gift. In view of the New Year.

Though she can’t sit or reach the board yet, can’t wait to see her little scribbles on it.

And to Kiddie Photolab, thank you for the wonderful photoshoot experience. I can’t give them enough praises. Though we just paid a mere RM47, we received TOP CLASS service. Why? Because there is soooo much passion from them to capture  that perfect child’s special moment. They sang nursery rhymes, they made funny faces, they did all they could just to break a toddler to give them the BIGGEST smile of their life. I dont know how they do it. We got tired, sooo tired after that one hour, so I can’t imagine them doing all that for every session. It boils down to passion!

And that’s the sort of photographer you need to capture your child’s moments. Can’t wait to check out all the final photos!

Told Sairah to choose between her sandals Aunty Wylane got her and the crocs and she naturally went for the sandals. Why? Coz it freaking matches her outfit that’s why. Good job baby girl.

Went to redeem our O’ Earth Cafe voucher and to check out what’s the whole fuss about organic food.

Organic soya bean with barley and organic coffee. Am in love with their organic soya bean that I decided to buy the powder. SO yummy and easy to make!

Healthy organic chicken pasta -  flavorful to the core. I believe their usual set meal is only RM7.90 which is a major steal.

Even Sairah LOVES their spaghetti and soya bean.

Went to BSC for a bit to do some grocery shopping and baby enjoyed all things X’masy in that mall.

We finally got to collect her prize from Marvelous Baby and the calendar that we ordered.

Received a gorgeous Geboo cloth diaper with a tank top, a bear (perfect for bear-bear), a copy of the calendar and of course a pretty nice straw bag.

Later that night, got ready for a Christmas eve dinner with our family friends. Cam whore first as we wait for the vain father to put on his makeup.

SO much food, stuffed myself silly!

The same old Pumpkin Patch dress making it’s appearance for the fourth or fifth time now. Spiced it up with a kitty headband (thanks Wylane) and the giraffe necklace.

Of course after a while someone puked and had to be changed. Sigh.

Nevertheless, she had a ball opening up her X’mas present.

She’s quite a patient baby when it comes to opening gift. So much class and self-control, like her mother, lol

Sometime I ago, I won this little consolation prize from Hilton KL’s microsite contest giveaway.

I was excited as hell because what can I say, I usually win smaller prizes that comprise of movie tickets, merchandize, food voucher – it would normally be very small (and boring too!) in value and safe to say this is the most expensive prize to date, lol. Actually wait, I won TWO tickets to see STOMP but son of a bitches FORGOT to inform me about my win. Can you imagine how I felt when I got a call at 7pm that night asking me if I was at the venue ready to meet the crew already???

Chosen restaurant:  Boardwalk Restaurant. The settings were pretty romantic I have to say.

Eeeks! Expensive as hell! We’re not big on dining in hotels because it’s usually a very expensive affair. And something we could do without. But hey if it’s free…..:D
