Oh Baby Baby

6 Mar

Playing with someone else’s baby can be dangerous coz it makes you want one.

NOT GOOD esp when you’ve agreed previously to wait for a good 2-3 years.

Two weeks ago, the hubby and I contemplated on having one before freaking out a few seconds later, which btw is our usual reaction to any baby questions from relatives & friends.

We don’t think we’re ready and they don’t say a baby changes everything for nothing! In a nut shell, I’m afraid of the changes that comes with a baby. There are so many things to do/achieve at this point that we think it’s best to wait, which does not augur well with my mom who constantly reminds me how she had me at the age of 25. I don’t know how she coped so kudos to all the young mommies out there.

As for me, I’ll just wait till my biological clock ticks furiously before doing something about it. Two kids – boy or a girl doesn’t matter though I secretly wish we could get one each :)

And to my sister who advised us to make her an aunt by the time she comes back from UK, sorry sis, it’s going to be another 3 years wait. By then, you probably would have your own!

Awww, any guesses who this lil baby is?

My Sweet Valentine

15 Feb

I had the most wonderful V-day ever, and no b*tch fit this year coz he planned it SO well, this time around :)

I stepped out from the shower only to see a rose on the dressing table (he knows I’m not a fan of flowers)

We then had a wonderful Thai dinner at Basil Leaf in Jalan Damai.

Our very own personalised menu with a 20% discount voucher for our next visit. Dinner for two came up to RM200 and no drinks mind you. Food was good but we both agree that too bad the menu didn’t consist of our fav Thai Green Curry.

While on the way to the restaurant, he tells me to open to glove compartment to get the directions to the restaurant, and this was inside:

The card he made me, awwww

AND he got me a 3 hour package voucher at my fav spa

Thank you hubby for making our first Valentine’s Day as husband and wife the sweetest and a night to remember.

5 months and counting…..

6 Feb

I just realized tomorrow will be our 5 month anniversary. How time flies! I intend to do something special next month to mark our half-year anniversary. It’s honestly something to celebrate given the rising divorce rates that plagues us these days.

So far, marriage life has been good to me – he’ still the same person and is not:

-secretly gay
-a pedophile
-dr jekyll and hyde
- a cross dresser
-a wife abuser

and what other crazy things people unveil after marriage.

Any major fights to date? Well YES, a couple – it’s unavoidable but you know what comes after a huge fight ;)

Some of the adjustments I’ve made thus far:

Learning how to be comfie with myself sans makeup and hair undone (girls you know what I’m talking about)

Letting him see me in my grubby ‘house clothes’ which screams so unsexy.

Learning how to cook – easiest task so far and am loving it

Learning how to be discreet when eyeing other men although that rarely happens (really!)

Adjusting to the fact that I’m married!

Learning how to cope with sleeping next to someone AND who sometime snores (it’s no easy task as I’m a light sleeper)

Spending 24 hours a day with him on weekends. No more “ my space”

There are other certain issues that have yet to be resolved mainly financial issues, although we’re still working out a way that will benefit both.

That said, you know married life is good to you when you’re thoroughly comfortable with yourself around him AND when people start noticing how happy you are and how much weight you’ve put on since you got married.

That’s a newly married life for you!

What’s Love

29 Jan

Is love blind? Or are we too busy falling in love to notice the things we should that we choose to make love blind? There’s always a honeymoon period in any new r/ship where everything seems so perfect, so exhilarating, so real, so a breath of fresh air & so out of this world.

Love can remain blind and it will so long you see the things you only want to see. That’s how people get hurt. True love pierces through the blindness that love alone cannot realize and you find yourself still in love despite the flaws. Only true love will stand the test of time.

I hope I’m making sense. And yes I guess it’s a married thing :) It’s very easy to fall in love but it takes a lot to stay in love.

What are your thoughts on love?

Birthdays and Dinners

9 Jan

From deciding where to go during CNY to deciding where to take my husband out for his birthday dinner – I say life’s full of decisions!

I’ve got the gift sorted, now – the dinner. He turns 30 on a Friday and we plan to throw a surprise party on Saturday which means I get to spend alone time with him on Friday.

When we first started going out, his 1st year birthday with me was spent at Sheraton Subang at this Italian Rest called Terazza Brasserie. We had the entire restaurant to ourselves coz it was the CNY holiday. I highly recommend this place although it’s rather expensive. The Pasta and fish dish we had was to die for and it has a very romantic setting.

2nd year birthday, I took him to Prego at The Westin. Food portion was quite small plus it was rather crowded. Romantic part was actually walking pass LV to Gelatos in BB to get dessert and shisha.

I was planning on taking him to the Revolving Restaurant in Menara KL but he beat me to it by taking me there for my b’day last year!

My best friends Mena and Dheeraj have suggested the following:

Sentidos Tapas, Starhill Gallery. According to her it’s really romantic but the food are mostly finger food. I want to have a full meal.

Dheeraj suggested Feast Village in Starhill Gallery but said settings may not be so conducive

My options so far:

Avanti Italian American Ristorante in Sunway Resort Hotel

Soi 23 (Thai Restaurant) at Pacific Hotel where Luna Bar is located

AND finally

Bangkok Jazz Bistro, which I’ve finally decided on 2 minutes ago, after googling and researching and also after many text messages back and forth with Dheeraj.

From the review, this sounds fab and real mouth-watering! Plus I’m more keen on the entertainment they have to offer (and not to mention the drinks) Hope he’ll enjoy this place.
