Shopping For Sairah And A Baby Playdate

Sorry for the lack of creativity on the header part :)

Okay just sharing some of my recent finds for Sairah. Mothers with baby girls – heads up ladies :D Actually mothers with baby boys can check out this site too.

This is my third time now purchasing clothes from BBluvsme.com and that site never fails to excite me everytime I receive an email about their updates. I could be wrong but I think they are probably the same people responsible for Thepoplook.com – also another site that I diligently check out and never fail to buy from every other update.

Seriously, for just RM93 (including postage), I managed to get 4 items for the little one. This time around I decided to buy sizes meant for a 3 year old for maximum usage :) Plus on the days when my mother feeds her too much RICE, I reckon these would fit just nice

This is SUCH an adorable combo in my opinion. Where can I get black boots for her??

I love the quality on these tops despite paying less than RM24 for each. The designs are sweet enough and can be easily paired with black leggins and even a tutu skirt for a dash of girly girl!

All three pretty tees in a row…though I have to say, for someone who loves black, the black tee appeals to me the most :D

Oooo mine!!

And then the other day I came across this cute little jeggings from Jusco in MV and couldn’t resist it. After a 10% discount, got this baby for RM9.50! Major score yo. I love the lace and ruched design at the bottom. Who ever said dressing a kid can be an expensive affair? It’s not if you look hard enough and keep a look out for a good sale.  If mommies have their fav go-to places for baby clothes, do recommend and share okie.

Now I’m having a huge headache what sort of shoes to get coz I”ve never been a shoe type of person and can never find affordable fashionable shoes in the store.

Oh and I’m waiting for this gorgeous baby to arrive from the US. I only paid less than RM50 (shipping included!)

And quite randomly, these two boys were Sairah’s playdate for the weekend! They were so sweet to bring Sairah a gift too. And yes, 3 kids in one tiny room = havoc, check out all the toys all over the place. It was a war zone in there.  Me having 3 kids in the future? I dont think so, swear my back would give way from picking up all the toys :D It is a rather colorful sight though.

And just when I was hoping Sairah would behave herself and enjoy her playdate, she seemed to be disturbed that they were 2 boys in her room playing with her toys.  She was one uncooperative kid that day which was odd because she usually loves kids. I do think baby girl is fast become quite territorial now that she’s bigger. Like Dhash puts it, kids are sooo unpredictable! Hopefully more playdates would fix the problem :) But we still had fun and she even planted a kiss on Nikhil AFTER playing hard to get. Maybe that’s why he looks extra happy in this photo :D

I love this photo because the parents are busy posing for the the camera while the little ones are busy with their toys!

To plenty more playdates Dhash! She has been reading my blog for some time now and we for most parts email each other almost every other day. Contrary to ‘dont meet people from the internet’ I have made friends with some people that way and you’d be suprise how nice and sincere they are – that’s how I like my friends to be btw :D

And iIf anyone wants to join us in the future, just let me know :) Boys, girls of all shapes, sizes and race are most welcome :D

CNY 2012

CNY 2012

Since we’re still in the CNY mood, here are some photos taken at our family friend’s home during the reunion dinner and on the first day too.

If you remember correctly, Sairah was just a itty bitty thing when she first celebrated her FIRST CNY!

And now look at her……..she was our entertainment those two nights, LOL. Children always are…..it’s free, they say and do the wackiest cutest things and we laugh and laugh in return so why not? :D

This was during the reunion dinner. Believe it or not, we had malay food which goes to show how Malaysian we are.

She was entertaining everyone with her chicken dance.

And this is Deric entertaining her back while showing off his phone.

Aunty Elaine giving out an orange to Sairah…

Happiness in receiving an orange! Or anything for that matter.

I”ll trade you my orange for that dog Aunty. What say you hmmm?

Screw the orange, let’s see what’s in my pink angpow packet.

Isnt this like the cutest pink angpow packet you’ve seen for a kid?

Then on the first day of CNY, the same family friend threw a get together for her relatives. The house was jam packed with laughter, good food and company. More people also equals more angpow packets for the kid :) RM160 to be exact, not bad for a kid of 16 months.

Sairah wore this gorgeous pink chinese outfit which my parents bought from Macau. I don’t remember seeing this type of outfit here as it usually comes with pants. I love the fact that this one comes in skirt form, so the girly! She rocked it further with this pink headband with ribbons attached to it.

I”m Chinese today mom :D

Making his debut was Baby Ethan who Sairah developed a strong liking for. She somehow favors babies instead of toddlers.

She also showed her big sister side which prompted some to ask us when’s the next one coming, hmpfff, well no, not anytime soon.

Yea everyone loves to fuss over a baby. He’s so cute and chilled out. If I have another baby, I want her to be as chilled out as him, hehe.

FACE OFF, hahaha

But we’re friends now.

Here she is again sitting by his side for a long time and even rocked his baby chair. She definitely was good company to the little one. It was too cute! Think I’ve  found the perfect nanny for my next baby, lol.

Okay baby let’s entertain people…

It was then she decided to show everyone how a baby cries

And this is my shocked face

Yup, will only feed self if there’s chocolate cake involved!!

YEE SANG TIME!

Second time for both baby and daddy :D

Hmm, can I have some of that?

I can’t decide if I like it or not, yet I’ll just continue eating it!!

Okay I can live with this!  It’s no chocolate cake but keep it coming grandma…

Geez, the four day holiday was what we totally needed! But I”m over the moon that tomorrow will be another short holiday for me in view of FT day (I LOVE YOU KL  even though your traffic gets shittier by the day I swear).

How was your CNY? Hope it was as good as ours!

Zest Cafe @ Bangsar South

Zest Cafe @ Bangsar South

So my hubby FINALLY redeemed his b’day gift that I got him in January LAST YEAR. To recap – it was 4 sessions of water-skiing in Putrajaya.

He made his way down there on Sunday early morning with my cousins and embarked on an adventure of a life time. Sadly, it will be something he can only talk about with no photos to prove coz my cousin Roshan was too lazy to take photos of him in action.  I would have taken lots of photos IF only I tagged along, alas, a mommy’s gotta sleep in with her little one and to be frank, I would rather sleep in then wake up at a god forbidden time of 8 in the morning to WATCH someone water ski :)

We woke up at 10.45 a.m that Sunday, baby and I :D And by the time we did, hubby was on the way back from his adventure :D

For now, he has muscle aches as testament of perfoming such a cool sport.

Mommy’s face of the day: oh so well rested. But still look like crap.

Baby’s face of the day: Naughty. As usual.

Lucky for him, the wifey brought her camera along during lunch so yes at least we have photos to show we had lunch together AFTER the great big water-ski action :)

Chosen restaurant: Zest Restaurant in Bangsar South coz apparently it’s the healthy way to eat and I had some awesome vouchers to use up :D It was my second visit there.

It is one of my 2012 resolution to eat healthily and I”ve been loading up the vegs thesedays *nods head* And I suppose Zest Cafe goes well with my new resolution coz they take alot of pride with their food since its made of low salt, low sugar, low cream, no margarine and they use 100% olive oil and the best of all, no MSG! I could roll with that.

The group. Don’t know why the aunty is posing for my camera, haha.

Baby Sairah had the Chorizo soup. I love how she can finally eat out with us, makes trips to the malls a whole lot easier now that I don’t have to worry about feeding her ’special’ food. This is one of my favorite soups, and I’m not usually a soupy kinda gal. She is though :)

Soup soup soup! Got more soup?

This is the chat-over-panini that we had with a side of hummus. The hummus was sort of tasteless (we shall leave hummus to the arabs okay?) though good thing the bread was pretty flavorful.

Cousin Jeev ordered the Spaghetti Bolognese. Dish came without any salt added to it because they ain’t kidding when they say healthy! Worry not for there’s a salt shaker on every table :D

Though the spaghetti was a bit of a disappointment to my cousin, their signature dish - Rosemary Grilled Chicken Breast was pretty awesome! Sis, Roshan and I had the SAME exact dish coz we felt it was the most yummiest looking thing on the menu. Their mashed potato was SERIOUSLY yummy making this dish a must have. Best if all it’s ONLY RM11! On our first visit, the hubby tried the same dish but ordered half chicken. We found the portion HUGE and enough for two. So stick with the rosemary chicken and you can’t go wrong :D

Okay now I”m craving for their mashed potato as I type this :(

And this was the husband’s Braised Seafood – a medly of prawn, fish and squid in tomato sauce. That’s right, no carbs. He was hungry an hour later! That man has serious issues when it comes to ordering proper food.

Prices are also very affordable! If you go during lunch, their menu is much cheaper. Each dish we ordered was less than RM14 and soups are only RM5 a bowl. All in, a must visit restaurant! My only gripe was the slow service that day, food took about 20 minutes to arrive for some reason.

Aunt and niece having a light moment.

And here are some photos of the hubby’s side we visited that Sunday after lunch.

Yup believe it or not, this little cutie is actually half Indian.

Kids just dig me, ahem. We were having a serious heavy discussion on BARBIE on how that bitch is planning on taking over the world. Barbie for presidency! And world domination!

I seriously LOVE this photo coz I look like a mother of three GIRLS! Dear GOD, if the fortune teller’s prediction of three kids are correct, then please please please make em all girls!

And Baby Sairah actually prefers playing with older kids, preferably girls. Coz boys are just  less gentle. True story.

And that’s the SUN! Which we’ve been having too much lately. Weather on Sunday was 36 degrees. Insaneee!

The End :)

Hairy Tales

Hairy Tales

The hubby’s aunt who visited from US complimented me on my hair recently. She asked me what’s my secret to such shiny hair *bounces hair and strokes SHINY hair* Little does she know it’s because I was sitting under the light and as you know it, dark locks reflects light better, ahem.

Said awesome aunt who thinks I have shiny hair :D I was obviously grining from one end to the other coz hardly anyone compliments me thesedays :( Story of my life.

Before that let me digress a little bit. We met them in Pavillion for dinner on Friday and Sairah wore this gorgeous dress a friend bought from Melbourne.

This is her shocked ‘home alone’  look that I taught her!

OMG NO MILK???! THE HORROR!

She’s totally in love with this dolly, wants to carry it where ever she goes, wants to baby it and give it milk….too cute! Only thing missing is the baby’s stroller which I think is a tad creepy to buy….have you seen that in Toys R Us? C-R-E-E-P-Y!

Sayangggg dolly!

And I should let you know that Ben’s has one of the dumbest most uncomfie baby chair everrr!!!

Poor baby struggling in that stupid chair. She obviously sat on it for a good 10 minutes. But I”m so proud of her for leaving her hair clip on :D

Ok before I disgress furtherrr………..my secret is actually this followed by an awesome potent hair serum which my parents bought from Hong Kong. At least that’s what I think is responsible for the shine coz I have 1001 hair products in my bathroom.

Picked 2 tubes of it during our trip to Bali. Am currently running low on it, any ideas where can I get it locally?

And before I digress further again, I should have you know that I haven’t cut my hair in THREE freaking months. Or is that four months?? It’s super long now.

Below bra length to be precise :D *strokes super long hair, my preciousssss*

Banshee like hair until you can ‘t see me face, haha, but oooo so shiny!

It’s not that I don’t want to cut my hair and get rid of the split ends, I seriously just don’t have the time to step into a hair salon. It is indeed a luxury. Moms would tell you this.  Gone are the days of spending hours in a hair salon to get it  washed, steamed and treated using glorious treatments.

I feel so bad about lying to my new hair-stylist though coz I happily promised him after my hair cut that I”d like to color it and said I’d be back in one week’s time for that.

It’s been months since I went into hiding.

I don’t want to piss him off coz he’s actually an awesome hair-stylist, having worked in London and all for years.

Well now I’m hoping he’d forget my face and my big mouth when I go back there next

I only realized my hair was super long after seeing that photo. So naturally I shoved the camera in front of the husband’s face to ask him if I should maintain this wonderful length or cut it.

Immediatelywithout hesitating or even looking at that damn photo, he screamed, CUT IT. CUT IT OFF.

But but I look nice and feminine in long hair don’t you think? Just like old times….I said.

But you spend so much time getting it blow dried and ironed. It will be a whole lot faster if you have it shorter, he argued.

Hmpffff, MEN! What the hell do they know. Short or long hair, I stil take about 40 minutes to get ready which I think is a pretty awesome feat coz I can manage to wash my hair, blow dry this thick mop of a hair and iron it so I don’t look like a lion, slap on makeup, change bags and transfer its contents (happens when you’re a bag-aholic), pack up baby’s diaper bag AND still get dressed. Did he really think having shorter hair would cut down my preparation time to like 15 minute? Hmpff, fat hopes. I am a woman afterall :D I say it willl only take off 5 minutes, the most coz seriously how can cutting off 2-3 inches cut down time significantly? My sillyy silly man.

Come to think of it, I really oughta let my hair grow LONGER and let it shed all over the bed at the same time. In particular, his side of the bed :D Just because I can.

What about you? How long does it take to get ready? Hair and all? And don’t lie, esp if you’re a woman, haha :D

Boardwalk Restaurant @ Hilton KL

Boardwalk Restaurant @ Hilton KL

Sometime I ago, I won this little consolation prize from Hilton KL’s microsite contest giveaway.

I was excited as hell because what can I say, I usually win smaller prizes that comprise of movie tickets, merchandize, food voucher – it would normally be very small (and boring too!) in value and safe to say this is the most expensive prize to date, lol. Actually wait, I won TWO tickets to see STOMP but son of a bitches FORGOT to inform me about my win. Can you imagine how I felt when I got a call at 7pm that night asking me if I was at the venue ready to meet the crew already???

Yea, my luck is quite shit, hahaha.

Chosen restaurant:  Boardwalk Restaurant. The settings were pretty romantic I have to say.

Eeeks! Expensive as hell! We’re not big on dining in hotels because it’s usually a very expensive affair. And something we could do without. But hey if it’s free…..:D

Decided to invite my family and hubby’s Uncle who was on the way back to Guam. BabySis was there too but you can’t see her since she was busy taking these photos :D

Clingy Sairah. She was on her naughty mode and refused to sit in her chair.

I”m SO naughty today!

See, didn’t want to read her book either

The food was so so, which is a suprise considering how expensive they are. However, the highlight would be their desserts. Definitely.

Blueberry cheesecake

Warm Chocolate Brownie. Both sinfully GOOD!

Total bill was close to RM400! Definitely an exhorbitant sum for food that was meh.

But never mind that, must show off this gorgeous dress BabySis got Sairah. It’s sooo girly!!

Here she is giving you various poses that only my 15 month old girl is capable of doing :)

Talk to the hand!

It’s all in the eye motherrrr

And nose perhaps.

Imma going to give you a smile!

And now a serious look.

And now I’m going to be a busybody.

She’s almosttttt there.

LOVE this dress to bits so excuse me if you see her in it for the next few hundred times.
