Travel Plan 2012

14 Nov

Why yes, I’ve we’ve already sorted out our travels for next year, have you? *smug efficient face*

I looked back at my travel plan entry for 2011 and it seemed just so plain, considering we had itty bitty Baby Sairah around and had to limit our travels.

But what do you know, this year was surprisingly the year that we’ve traveled the most and the furthest just when I least expect we would :) You know the saying on how good things happen when you least except it? Quite true sometimes.

A recap on travel:

February 2011: Maldives to celebrate our 3rd year Honeymoon (although technically we were already onto the fourth year!) Definitely a nice suprise gift from the husband.

May 2011: Bangkok to check out Madame-Tussauds

June 2011: Paris / Amsterdam & Hague – which was totally an unexpected trip!!

August 2011: Stayed in a gorgeous villa in Bali with Baby Sairah – this was certainly the start of our first family trip which was sooo much fun!

We skipped going to Langkawi  and Terrenganu. We could have gone to Manila again with the hubby if it wasn’t for the lack of leave :(

In store for 2012 since I officially have 30 days annual leave next year :D  Woot woot!

March – Perth, Australia. This will be a week’s holiday with Sairah, to slowly introduce her to her future ‘ home’.  We have 4 months to teach Sairah to say eeellooo mateeeee.

April – the Miow land aka Kuching. This will also be Baby Sairah’s first local trip (Going to Ipoh doesn’t count, hmpf) Can’t wait to chop down on Mee Kolok and explore all things related to Sarawak :)

August  – HONG KONG and Macau!!  Because I’ve been wanting to go to HK like forever!! And now that my parents have visited both these places recently and sang praises for it, the feeling of wanting to be there has doubled!! And funny thing, while we were deciding which tickets to get first (Perth or Hong Kong), my baby girl literally went onggg kongg, ongg kongg THREE FREAKIN TIMES! Needless to say, hubby and I were shocked beyond words on how FAST Sairah can pick these words up. That, or baby girl really wants to go to ong kong like her mommie :D

October – Sandakan, Sabah. Looks like East Malaysia is quite the favorite this year for us :) Sepilok Orang Utan Sanctuary get ready for Sairah to terrorize you!

All tickets have been booked save for HK/Macau and Europe - still waiting for a really good deal to crop up.  We might be going to Hague again as the husband has a LONGER assingment  this time. We’re still deciding which months he should be away. I”m just bummed that I won’t be able to stay that long but something is better than nothing, no?

If there’s any difference between last year’s travel and this would be how we’ve included Sairah into every one of it since she’ll be bigger and easier to handle.

We can’t wait!

Things I Love

Things I Love

It’s been a while since I’ve listed down my current obsession :) Oh yes I still go crazy about certain things, at different phases.

A few months ago, it was RINGS! And I’ve collected quite a bit since then :D

Now, I’ve moved on to red lippies! Or rather lipstick/glosses in general. After hitting the BIG 30, I just feel that red lippies are the perfect color for an ahem, matured 30 year old woman. Don’t ask me why, it’s probably how they make you look classy or more matured.

I could be kidding myself but what do you think? Yay or Nay? Or I don’t really care?!

Btw, am totally loving the NYX lip cream, the staying power is off the hook! You can purchase them here. And I’m sure you can tell by now how I intend to collect ALL the colors

I’ve also purchased this baby from Tarte and can’t wait for it to arrive. A lil year-end gift to myself if you must.  Year-end is absolutely the BEST time to pick up beauty items coz they are always packaged best for your wallet coz of Christmas.

EEK this is really gorgeous okie, can’t wait to hold em,  caress em and care for em!

In terms of food wise, it’s weird that I have a STRONG craving for yoghurt. Not just any yoghurt, but Moo Cow Frozen Yoghurt!! Just for the record – am not pregnant or anything (GOD I hope not!), just being a little fattie :D

Strange. Partly because I’ve never been one to enjoy yoghurt or anything remotely sour-ish (sweet tooth remember?).  I think about Moo Cow day and night I shit you not. I find ways into tricking the husband to pop by Gardens or Plaza Damas. I find myself wanting to open up a franchise anywhere so I can have FULL UNLIMITED access to these buggers.

This is my current favorite – Original flavor topped with chocolate chips. I used to like their root-beer flavor but that was seasonal. I”m nuts about their Wheatgrass flavor too, which is their flavor of the month.

You can tell I go there often…..

Oh I officially have four stamps now, mooooo might have collected a few more if I didn’t forget my loyalty card sometimes.

Don’t let that face make you think she was forced into eating it. She LOVES her Moo Cow. These photos was taken seconds after missy woke up from sleep. Immediately opened her mouth for this tasty treat.

I may be groggy but that’s not gonna stop me from stealing mommy’s portion!

Lip smackingly GOOD!

There have been instances where she cried after we finished the yoghurt.

Meh, how I wish mommie would open up a franchise.

But guess we’ll just have the perfect excuse to make daddy take us to the mall often eh baby girl?

The Green Pedicure

The Green Pedicure

Yes I know the title of this post sucks.

Now that my Sairah-bear is 13 months, leaving her at home for a short period of time is something I can afford. Well, at least that’s what I found out on Saturday :) Since Sairah’s daddy missed her so much, I let them to a bonding sesion at home while I went out for a much deserved pedicure session. Helped that my parent’s helper was around (we take her back on weekends and she’s quite good with Sairah) so leaving her with the hubby is something I wouldn’t mind doing, once in a blue moon that is.

I earlier bought 2 awesome spa pedicure deal on Everyday , paid peanuts for it and redeemed this baby on the VERY last day with BabySis.

It was truly a 90 minutes of bliss!

First time having a feet mask and sauna, crazy world we live in sometimes!

BabySis busy with her phone

LOVING my jade green pedicure. I quite love the Amante outlet in Solaris Mont Kiara -  I don’t know of any other nail parlour that has stocked up that amount of nail polishes in every possible colors! Truly a headache trying to decide on the color. Who am I kidding, it was SOOO exciting that I look forward to that again!!

Later, and as expected the ’sales’ person came over to sell us some packages and I don’t know how we did it but managed to squeeze in 2 mani and pedicure session each together with eyelash perming for only RM100!!! I”m not too keen about the eyelash perming now (coz I fear they might make me blind) so I’ll probably ‘try’ to convert it into another mani-pedi session :D

So I lied, though I enjoyed the session, I kept texting the hubby a few times to check on Sairah-bear. A mother will always be a mother, no matter what they’re doing I suppose :D  When I got home I was told that she behaved herself save for refusing to sleep at all. That kid sometimes REALLY suprises me on how she just hates to sleep.

In return for being away for 3 hours, I got a red velvet cupcake and of course shared with my precious girl. Check out the video here. That’s the exact face she gives me everytime she wants a bite from my food. She definitely has got a sweet tooth like her mother :D

And here she is on our outing on Sunday coz I promised we’ll take her out since we stayed at home all week when her daddy was away.

All set for Yemeni food and visiting relatives ma!

Sairah wore this gorgeous white halter dress that I got from Bali. LOVE it to the bits. As for her shoe-like sock, got it online.

Oh hai, see my tooth sprouting on top and bottom? Imma gonna have teeth soon @ 13 months!

Bringing sexy back……….

That’s right, I’m a vain baby girl, just like daddy.

Now go see this video of my naughty girl (yup that’s her naughty face right there) being bored in the car! She really can work those legs! I suppose this is what happens when you listen to alot of dance/techno music while pregnant :p

A dancer in the making?? Hmm….time will tell :D

Saving Savings

Saving Savings

There’ s this quote in my baby girl’s guestbook that I found on the internet and just HAD to put it next to our photo in the book.

I want my children to have all the things I couldn’t afford. Then I want to move in with them.

:D

Fine, so the last sentence was probably there as a punch line. But the first line spoke to me. Why yes I want nothing but the best for Sairah. I want her to have all the things mummy can’t afford. I want her to have all the things mummy could only wish, stare, sniff, dream, touch and hope for. I want her to have it all.

Coz naturally I want her to have a better life than mine.

Afterall dare you to point out a parent who doesn’t want the best for their kids? :D Thought so.

So step one for wanting the best for her was opening up a savings account for the brat which we got to do recently. Plus it helped that my dad was consistently nagging us to do so. Afterall my mom and dad were the first folks to present Sairah her very FIRST cheque on her birthday and they were eager for us to bank it in to her :)  Imagine a 12 month old receiving a cheque in her name, lol, the world is crazzzzyyy sometimes!

Anyway all of a sudden I’m just itching for her to save and hopefully by the time she reaches 18, she would have a decent amount of money for herself. Going forward whatever cash received during birthdays, angpows, just-because, prize-money (heh maybe getting a lil carried away here) will go straightttt into her bank account! No going to Toys R Us or ice cream parlours to splurge on! And the hubby and I will be contributing some cash into her account every month too. Like what they say – sikit sikit, lama lama jadi bukit!

I have to say though that service in Maybank is SHIT – we still had to wait around to be served even though we were one of the first ones. But nothing like a loud ‘THIS IS STUPID, IF I DONT GET SERVED IN THE NEXT 5 MINUTES, I”M GOING OVER TO XXX BANK”

It works okie. Tried and tested :D

I have a what account now?

Whatever that is lady.

I’m just happy with this Tiger coin box. For now.

Tiger meets Tiger face off! Sairah won coz she pushed him off her bed. Such a tyrant this one.

And just a quick info for parents who want to open an account for their bub, believe it or not, only ONE parent can be guardian and have access to the account. Obviously I think the mother should be the one in charge, ahem. Just bring along baby’s MyKID, Birth Cert and your IC too. Sign here, sign there X 3 times and you’re done! It still took us approx 1 hour to get everything sorted. I opted to get online banking so we can transfer money in and monitor the balance.

But the icing on the cake was when the officer asked if we wanted to activate the TAC number so transfers can be made.

Told her I highly doubt my 12 month old would be doing any online transacations anytime soon.

Truth be told, I was afraid Sairah might have my online shopping addiction like the mom, hence the no TAC request, haha.

But yea I will  continuously do my best at nagging that baby toddler of the importance of saving. Money doesn’t grow on tree kid! For everything else you have your dad.

P.s: Anyone else who wants to contribute to Sairah’s account is also more than welcome, heeeh. Just had to try :D
