Oh the title of this post
Yesterday’s activity – a trip to Plaza Damas to check out Tray Cafe. Unfortunately for me, they close on Tuesday so after a quick meal at Kim Gary’s, we walked around, did some grocery shopping and ended up in Coffee 5 Cups – also a coffee cafe I’ve been wanting to try out.
Organic coffee with a view of the Palace! I think my mom in a way is happy that I’m rather free coz now she has someone to go places and hang out with.
At night, obviously mommy/wifey duty resumed so I cooked a hearty pasta dinner. Ever since being vegan, the best dish I could possible think of to cook is none other than PASTA! Which is luckily a house favorite and something I could eat everyday! Yea I’m boring that way. Either way, I’m SO glad Sairah is back to liking pasta coz there was a point where she wasn’t so keen on it. But she’s an all-carbs girl, lol so it’s no wonder she would start liking pasta again
Last night’s dinner was Eggplant Pasta. Easiest thing to do – all you need to do is grill chopped long brinjals with lotsa butter on the grill. You can throw in some chopped carrots while you’re at it – put aside. In a pan with melted butter and some olive oil, add in 2 tablespoon chopped garlic, followed by your favorite bottled tomato sauce with some water. Throw in your cooked vegetables, add in generous amounts of parmesan, and a handful of shredded cheese – let it all simmer until sauce thickens. Add in half tablespoon of sugar, some black pepper and when your pasta is cooked, throw it into the sauce batter, mix and WALA!
Eggplant pasta tastes a lil sweeter than the usual but it’s very good.
Lil one unsuspectingly gulping down her eggplants and tomato sauce. She later thanked me for this ‘very delicious meal’.
All gone – obviously it was pretty decent
Poor hubby scrapping for remaining sauce even though there were some leftovers for him for work which he took along with him today. I feel like a typical Indian wife now- having to ‘tiffin’ his lunch box and all, lol
Oh and I also added this canned eggplant dish to the sauce which added more taste to it. You can get this at the Middle-Eastern supermarket in Solaris Mont Kiara.
And its been a while since I did a styling Sairah post so this outfit was her Sunday outfit for some visiting. I bought this tank top a while ago in one of the kisok in Subang Parade. Never really had the chance to put it on her mainly coz the back is all-lace and rather sexy, haha so I’ll just show you the front .
Sup? This is mah lazy Sunday outfit! It’s all red reminding me of the countless tomato based pasta I’ve had to eat thanks to mom!
Her sweet demure girly look
Crazy eyes look.
Went to our favorite Sheesh Mahal for lunch and here she is posing happily in front of the Specials board.
Hi-5! Yes so the random.
Sexy back covered by her Hi-5 bag. Doesn’t she look totally ready for school?! *sob* – I’m dreading that day in a way
Speaking of Hi-5, guess who got to meet them in person? Yup – more on that in the next post.
Okay nap time calls and excuse this post – it’s all over the place I know but hey, at least I blogged :D So toodles!
