From UK, With Love

30 Jan

To my sister in Bristol:

This is what you missed last night! Yummy home-cooked food. Your ‘friend’ completely enjoyed the meal.

The stuff baby sister got us:

Mine mine mine – celine dion belong perfume, next high society perfume and next lip pallette – LOVE IT!

The chocolates are delicious. A big thank you for making us fatter!! We all miss you.

Semi-Value Quotes

Looks like Uncle Sam doesn’t know the word give up. The 71 year old MIC president since 1981 is insisting that he should contest in the upcoming general election to defend his Sungai Siput seat of which he had been MP since 1974. Honestly, does anyone want to see him around for another 4 years to witness the senile-ness that will consume him? Already showing signs of delusion and fallacious hopes of retaining his post, he will surely be missed for his awful grasp of the national language more than anything else.

Real Uncle Sam Quotes:

Samy vellu on pos laju :-

“BESOK KIRIM, HARI INI SAMPAI” :-)

One day on TV when trying to say he was ashamed, he said:`Kemaluan saya besar`

‘Pemuda jangan hisap dada’
‘Pemudi dermalah dara’

ayam kambing beg=i am coming back

Samy said in a ceremah “Kita akan bina satu jambatan untuk orong-orong kampong disini”, one pakcik asked, “Datuk, sini takde sungai, buat apa bina jambatan?” and Samy glorious replied,”Kalau takde sungai, kita bina sungai!”

“Toll naik sikit, manyak marah saya. You ingat semua ini toll saya punya bapa punya kah!”

During water shortage “semua orang diminta jgn membuang aiyerr..!”

On social problems:”..orang2 muda sekarang banyak hisap dada..”

In a blood donation campaign in sg siput:”..marilah kita semua menderma dara..”

During a speech in a function:: “…selamat datang saudara-mara semua..” (sebenarnya saudara-saudari)

On a much less serious note, during the height of the al-arqam saga, he said in a press conference, “Saya gembira bahawa didapati tiada pemuda MIC terlibat dalam kes arqam..”

And last but not least what does PLUS stand for? Pungut Lebih Untuk Samy!

What’s Love

29 Jan

Is love blind? Or are we too busy falling in love to notice the things we should that we choose to make love blind? There’s always a honeymoon period in any new r/ship where everything seems so perfect, so exhilarating, so real, so a breath of fresh air & so out of this world.

Love can remain blind and it will so long you see the things you only want to see. That’s how people get hurt. True love pierces through the blindness that love alone cannot realize and you find yourself still in love despite the flaws. Only true love will stand the test of time.

I hope I’m making sense. And yes I guess it’s a married thing :) It’s very easy to fall in love but it takes a lot to stay in love.

What are your thoughts on love?

The War for Talent

28 Jan

He didn’t get the Oral Bcasting. Even my bestie who went for the same casting didn’t get the job. It’s quite disppointing coz I was almost certain that either one would have. But according to the casting director, he was quite close to securing it so better luck next time. So close yet so far. Lucky bastard, however who got it. I hate you.

He went for another casting on Sunday @ Jalan Gasing for an all-male bike TVC in India. Pays about RM1.5k a day and it’s 3 days long, let’s see how it goes. The director also took my pics for “future references”. I over-heard that Hritik Roshan is down for 2 days in KL. But hey if they EVER need an extra for a John Abraham movie, then i’m all game, pay or no pay :)

Don’t you just want to do stuff to him girls? :) Hubby better not see this post, lol. All John Abraham fans say AYE!

Birthday Weekend

28 Jan

Let me assure you that it has been an awesome weekend!

Friday Night:

We arrived at To Dine For Fine Thai Cuisine for a perfect Thai dinner. It’s part of Bangkok Jazz Bistro located upstairs. Fairly classy looking and can only accomodate roughly less than 40 people. Perfect! 2 appetizers, 2 main course together with one 2 alcoholic beverages came up to around RM110.

We then proceeded for some jazz music @ Bangkok Jazz with performances by Billy & Tuxedo. Apparently he was the Best Singer in Levi’s search 2000 for his impressive rendition of One Last Cry by Brian McKnight (which is absolutely a romantic song) btw.

The Stage:

Long Island Tea Jug @ RM75

Billy in Action

VERY ROMANTIC

The Birthday night ended up his gift which he completely adores:

There’s an adorable video fo him unwrapping his gift like a 7 year old. Too bad it’s a huge file.

Sat night:

Suprise party was a success! He was in total shock and had NO clue whatsoever about the party. Now that’s what you call a suprise. And so it’s true that women are better at organizing a suprise party.

Thanks to everyone who made it possible. You guys are great actors :) The night was definitely an enjoyable one. Muaks!
