Good Lord, I just realized it’s been AGES since I”ve stepped into KLCC. So many new stores have cropped up, quite a few familiar ones no longer to be seen as well. So much has changed! And to think it used to be one of my fav hang out spots. Wanted to take the little one to Aquaria (hubby and I actually had a date here once, haha) but decided we would just walk around instead.

Tsk tsk, sitting like a gangsta! We finally upgraded her car seat. Only paid less than RM350 for this, such a steal!!

I’ve realize that our toddler has an EXTENSIVE series of expression on her face. I don’t know where she gets it from.  A colorful personality with bits of naughty-ness - that’s the best way to describe her.

Here she is just being a kepoh. She tends to enjoy looking around a new place to see who she can get some attention from. It’s usually the waiters that she tries to be extra friendly to no matter how many times I tell her she’s not getting free food from them

You over there, what’s a baby gotta do to get some service around here.

As usual, her father was taking a million years to snap one lousy photo hence the annoyed look on both our faces, LOL. He is literally the world’s MOST annoying photographer as he takes photos very veryyyyy slowly!

I’m going to kill you in my sleep I swear says Chuckina! Her dad burst out laughing when he saw this photo of his offspring. Sometimes I tell him, you’re such a boring nerd, how did we end up with a kid like Sairah? I meant it in a good way of course

Proud mommie face ON!

See the lady peeking behind, Sairah was happily entertaining them and a baby sitting behind us. Lil Miss Social this one. She refused to leave the restaurant coz she was basking in all that attention. Sometimes the hubby and I just don’t get where she gets this trait from! Is it true that kids sometimes end up being total opposite of their parents?

4 hours spent in KLCC, we walked into LV (yes my FIRST time walking into a designer store, I tend to avoid them so I don’t end up feeling like SHIT since I can’t afford em) to snoop around, her dad walked into an electronics store to check out a new TV but what the heck did we eventually buy??

Items for the little one!! Nothing for us (the macarons I bought don’t count!)

Using them ALL at a go. Now that’s what I call money well spent

I LOVE my life. Har har.

So much has changed. But one thing for sure, it’s all about Sairah. Coz she’s the LOVE of our live As Sairah would say, it’s all about ME ME ME! True story. Will take a video one day when I can.

Excuse me as I find a million and one ways to utilize the red curry paste jar in the fridge. It’s my go-to ingredient at the moment if there’s ever such a thing! Wait till you see what else I came up with

If you remember my Red Mac and Cheese then yes this is the recipe! Well almost. Using the same sauce as the base I figured I would come up with another meal :)   I would totally categorize this as comfort food as it’s rich in taste and creamy! And being Malaysian, it helps that it has that extra spicy kick for our thick tongue

For the chicken:

I used chicken breast and seasoned it with paprika, lots of black pepper, lemon pepper, cayenne paper and garlic salt. Feel free to use any spice of your choice. Cook on the grill and set aside once done.

For the sauce:

Melt 2-3 tablespoon of butter, add in half chopped onions and 5 clove chopped garlic and fry until aromatic. It should smell glorious at this point. Pour in one box of whipping cream followed by one cup milk. Add in 1 – 1.5 tablespoon of red curry paste and stir.  Throw in quarter cheddar cheese (processed or slice or even mix both), a handful of mozzarella cheese or any of your fav cheese. Let the sauce simmer and thicken first before tasting. If you like it more spicy, you know what to do Season with lots and lots of black pepper and some salt.  You may add in some paprika and cayenne pepper spices for taste.

Sauce should look like this! RICH with its cheesy goodness with a hint of spice! And if you intend to make baked mac and cheese,  throw in some chopped sausages and mix cooked macaroni in the sauce before putting them in ramkin bowls.  Top up with cheese and breadcrumbs and bake

For the spaghetti:

In a separate pan, toast breadcrumbs until brown and put away. Pour some olive oil into pan, and fry some chopped garlic. Saute chopped red capsicum until soft. Sprinkle in half a packet of Dominos chili flakes. Throw in cooked spaghetti and coat. Using a spoon, slowly pour in the sauce and coat the spaghetti and continue cooking for a minute or so.

Arrange spaghetti on plate, put the chicken on top and drizzle with more sauce.

Ladies and gents, after all that hard work, this is the end result.

A sinfully rich dish to whet the appetite. I realize it lacks some vegs but we’ve not really fans of vegetables with pasta so…..

The little one’s father is quite the artist. Not the glam type but the one who can draw really well. I’ve seen some of his paintings and man, it’s amazing how those stubby fingers can actually draw that well. So I wondered, hmmm, would she take after her father’s skill? For the record Sairah has these freakishly long fingers like mine, so there is no doubt she will flourish at playing instruments but have to give in to the hubby a bit sometimes too I say.

After the drawing session, she managed to find my brand new eyeliner and decided it was something she would prefer to do with her free time!!

Btw, never knew I”d see the day where I would pick this up. It was a spur of the moment thing but I have to say, the eyeliner is pretty good, I have it on right now, hehe Support local brands!

And this was something her daddy picked up being such an artsy person that he is. He got it at a bargain and after much thoughts where we should put it (I should mention that we have enough paintings in the apt already), we decided it should go in Sairah’s room.

I suck at interpreting paintings but all I could say to the hubby was, ‘the white goes really well with her pink wall’

Which is why I’m always in charge of dressing up baby girl coz I can color coordinate well, ahem, lol.

 TOP! (I sing this theme song to my baby girl almost every day and yes it drives some people nuts and more nuts now that she has picked it up, hah)

A while ago, I posted at the side bar for votes for my Baby Sairah to stand a chance to win a contest. She didn’t come out first, or second or third…….but came out no 9 (hey like her birth month). All 12 babies were then asked to attend a photo shoot as Marvelous Baby is coming up with their 2012 calendar.

Yup it’s going to be a super duper CUTE calendar! More info on that later.

We were asked to attend a shoot last Thursday. More specifically at 9a.m!! My darling girl now wakes up at 10 a.m everyday so I was very nervous the night before whether we’d be ready on time. I put her to sleep slightly early and although I kept waking up a lot, I was surprised to see how Sairah slept through the night!! She promptly woke up at 7.50 a.m (which is indeed amazing) even before my alarm went off so we rushed to get her ready and were there in the nick of time. I don’t know why but I was SUPER nervous!! On Sairah’s behalf!

But the little one on the other hand was quite the diva, lol.

The wait was indeed long, about 1 hour, so daddy entertained her by walking around

While mommy gave her some prep talk to build up her confidence

And of course some beary-licious HUGS.

We were given two sets of clothes so we changed her into the first.

We got to work with the wonderful Asther Lau who coincidently did my pregnancy and family shoot. Sairah went off in pairs with a pair of twins from Ecuador (talk about being international eh).

While Asther was busy shooting the twins, I put my little one on the tiny baby bed to prep and warm her up. I started getting her into the mood by taking photos of her and after a while Asther noticed that and decided it was Sairah’s turn to shine.

When is it gonna be my turn?!

I”m pissed with the hubby because he was too busy juggling the diaper bag and errr my handbag to even take those real posing shots of Sairah hence I only have these warming up photos

And boy did she make us SUPER proud!! She posed almost instantly like a pro, smiled for the camera, did the whole hand under the chin (and I really don’t know where she picked that one from)……..she was throughout a happy happy baby!

She got her shots done in under 5 minutes I think. PERFECTO!

Then it was off for a second change!

More prep talk going on, lol. My husband says I’m living vicariously through Sairah. Pffff. What a BIG word! I am officially Sairah’s manager though

Truth be told, I see alot of potential in my baby girl………..and I intend to be the sort of mother who polishes their natural talent while allowing my child to dip their itty fingers and toes into anything they want! And I wont even hold it against them should they decide to switch into something else a few months down the road because variety is the spice of life!

 I’m cool like that.

I really love this outfit on her. And I absolutely LOVE the Sereni and Shentel baby headgear on her. Unfortunately it was a bit of a tight fit so……..hoping they’d make bigger size ones soon You can pick it up on Marvelous Baby’s store soon too

It’s a wrap!!

We truly did enjoy this session so much. Now the hubby is so convinced this is Sairah’s calling (that is until she’s big enough to do more good things for this world like be a world famous surgeon, ahem). All he did was talk about how well his princess did at the shoot the ENTIRE day :D

I love moments like these…..where you discover your child’s potential and have that absolute annoying smirk on your face that money can’t buy.
