Al Diafah @ Jalan Radin Anum, Sri Petaling
9 Jul
We can add another Middle Eastern Restaurant to our list. Yay – mission almost accomplished! *almost*
The interiors of Al-Diafah
Ok, we were not really expecting this place to be nice hence the tattered-cannot-donate-need-to-cut-off-instead T-Shirt hubby wore. But lucky us, 10 minutes later a couple walked in equally dressed down.
Glanced through the menu and found the prices steeper than most Arab restaurants -quite expected given its style mylo interior settings.
Decided on the Falafel (or lalafil as pronounced by the other couple, hehe) as appetizer. Somewhere out there, an Arab is snickering that his crappy frozen lalafels have landed into Al-Diafah’s kitchen to be served to its unsuspecting customers.

Seeing that the rice dishes were around RM35 each, we decided to go with the Shish Tawook Sandwich while hubby got the lamb sandwich. Both RM15 each. I know – bloody cheapskates.
But wait, it was yummy! Found huge spicy chunks of chicken meat smothered with vegetables all wrapped up in the soft tasty bread. Yum Yum. Makes me slobber just thinking of it.
Hubby: Ok what to do with the frozen falafel?
Me: The stray dogs near my place can have a gourmet meal tonight.
Doggie bag please….
The bill after shitty taxes and service charge came up to a little under RM50.
Having spotted my favorite Old Town Kopitiam before dinner around the corner, I dragged hubby in for a quick drink of Xi Mut Milk Tea. Absolutely yummy!
Ok I’m sure there are more Middle Eastern restaurants to explore but I can’t find it on Google. If anyone can thrown in a few names and give the address, I’d very much appreciate it. Heck I’ll even take you with me! Deal?
