Bye Bye 1st Trimester

11 Mar

I officially move into my second trimester next week (although some sites say week 12 is already the second trimester!).
At 4 months nearly all of Peanut’s organs and structures have already formed. Fingers and toes have separated and hair and nails begin to grow. The genitals begin to take on their gender characteristics!! Oh please let it be a girl!

Very proud that up until now, not a single experience of  the dreaded morning sickness :) And since I’ve passed the 3 month mark, won’t be having ANY at all *smug face*

Waist has become thicker.

Boobs are bigger, firmer and might be up a cup size :)

Still no visible baby bump (or I’d like to think so).

Constantly hungry and will feel nausea if I’m not fed.

No wonky hormones and am still sane on most days.

Back and feet hurts a little sometimes, which is why having a nice hubby helps.

Yup, he’s the sweetest :)

Libido increased and heightened, ahem. Every touch, every kiss, every thrust is magnified 1000x.

Just started on some stretch mark cream I got from a site called IHerb in the States. Stretch marks dont really bother me since I wont be gracing Sports Illustrated any time soon :) I’ve been told that stretch marks are genetics, so if your momma has it, you will too but still, dont know what made me get this. Maybe I am vain sometimes, afterall.

I’m still waiting for the glow and thicker hair though :(

This week since the baby’s gender will be decided, I’ve been praying so hard that it will be a girl. My husband on the other hand thinks I’m putting too much hope into this and says I will be greatly disappointed if its not a girl.

If it’s a boy, I’ll be putting him up for adoption. Anyone? I kid.

My husband has 95% boys from his side which scares me to death. Both his aunts (Yes both his aunts are into their 40s and pregnant) who are 2-5 months ahead of me are carrying BOYS! But still, I want to remain optimistic but it’s not helping much since everyone else on my side of the family wants to go against me and wish for a boy.

I have 4 weeks more to go before my next appointment with the OBYGYN. That’s when we’ll know.

Still fond of spicy food, but not so much like previously. I must have rice at least once a day. Starting to grow very fond of fried rice.

Likes juices now – orange juice, banana shake, apple juice, mmmm juice….

Extremely fond of husband, more so when I’m in the mood :)

Not so into chocolates or anything chocolatey although it used to be my favorite past time.

Constantly yearns for a foot and back massage. We go for a foot massage at least once a week now.
Mommy-Baby Love

Always on a lookout for cute baby clothes which includes online shopping and checking out every physical baby store.

Already looking at baby items like strollers, play pen, toys, etc – only the best for my baby please.

Has no issue dropping any amount of $ when it comes to Peanut :)
Here are some baby clothes bought locally online recently.

Yea, I love showing off my baby’s wardrobe :)

Daddy-Baby Love

Constantly stops mommy from buying anything pink because he wants to know the gender first. Whatever happened to taking risks?! But he does enjoy looking at baby strollers, car bucket seats and the way I’ve taken all this in very well now :)
That’s all for baby reporting! I know I should be more concerned about the baby’s health and well-being etc instead of worry about the gender but I can’t help it ok. We have already found an amazing name for her :)

Wow… SMS me once you know your baby’s gender. I am very very keen in knowing too! Don’t worry if Peanut is a girl or boy. You will be a proud mum of Peanut! I on other hand will be proud sister to your baby Peanut!

OMG, you are buying more and more. Just make sure you won’t be fighting with baby Peanut for spaces in near future!

Hey, you know what… I heard that it is good if you start applying the stretch mark cream now. Then again with our hot and humid weather… it is a big turn off cos you will feel sticky after applying. Nvm, apply after shower at night. Besides you are sleeping in air con room :o).

Sure thing will definitely let you know the minute I find out :) Sister? LOL nice move Aunty :p

What to do, need to buy a range of clothes from Newborn to 3 months to 6 months to 9 months!!

I only apply it once a day coz it’s a bit sticky and oily. And that too right before going to bed. Anyway, I’m not so bothered about it, I think, hehe

Gotta love that “if you think I’m cute, you should see my mum”

    I’m excited for you!

    • TheMissusBlogs 12. Mar, 2010 at 12:46 pm #

I’m in LOVE with it too :) There are a few Daddy ones too but I’m lazy to get that :p

      Thanks so much Eugene.

Of course you are too lazy to get the one with Daddy cos you are definitely expecting peanut’s daddy to buy them on his own :o). I think I will do the same exact thing.

Btw, SISTER sounds nicer than aunty. Not qualified to be aunty yet. Wait till I am married, ok :o).

    • Fieran 15. Mar, 2010 at 9:24 pm #

Angel Whining! I know exactly how you feel about not being an aunty yet. My sister/cousins all got pregnant and gave birth – its been a good 6 years now (my eldest niece is 6 this year) but I still don’t think I am ready to be an aunt….

      • TheMissusBlogs 16. Mar, 2010 at 3:08 pm #

Hey being an Aunt is not bad, guess you could focus on being a cool aunt – someone they could run to and tell all their secrets :)

    • TheMissusBlogs 16. Mar, 2010 at 3:07 pm #

HAHAHA Wylane, you know me too well ;) I told Anand the same thing, since I’m buying all the clothes with my money I get to pick :) Anyway, I guess the more expensive ones like stroller, baby cot etc the daddy will buy :)

Ok, give you face, Sister it is :p The moment you’re hitched, it becomes Aunty :p

  8. Asther 13. Apr, 2010 at 2:25 pm #

Haiyo… don’t buy too much clothings cos u’ll get a LOT more when u have ur baby showers or when ur lil one arrives! Frens & families will shower you till u’ll almost drown with pressies! Hahaha… and lil one won’t have enough time to wear them all! Am speaking from experience here. :P If you want to buy, then buy for sizes 6mth & above. ;)

Anyway… issit it a boy or a girl?

    • TheMissusBlogs 13. Apr, 2010 at 2:30 pm #

Shall take your advice. I’m trying really really hard not to buy but being a borderline compulsive shopper, I can’t help myself :) Quite obsessed at baby clothes at the moment. Most of the clothes I got are from 6 months and above but I also have a good mix of infant and 3 months clothes. Will only find out first week of May but we’re hoping it’s a girl :)
