Baan 26, Changkat Bukit Bintang

17 Sep

Call me boring, but I’m one of those few who detest going out for lunch during working hours simply because I hate to bake under the 1pm sun and loathe the overly crowded restaurants.

But I do count myself blessed (foodie wise, the jams are horrid) to be working in the Golden Triangle vicinity where there are plenty of stalls and restaurants catering to the lunch mass- should I choose to brave the heat and crowd for food!

I have the once in a blue moon lunches with colleagues and clients but my faithful favourite lunch buddy would definitely be my hubby. Hey look it rhymes! Although he works 20 minutes away, he makes it a point to occasionally do lunch with me when he’s not too occupied at work. (which by right should be almost everyday, heh)

Baan 26 in Changkat BB was our choice of restaurant for Thai food. Although their ala carte dishes are quite steep, their set lunch (or is it lunch set?) are priced extremely affordable at only RM10.60++ and RM13.60++ depending which one you go for.

I decided on their RM10.60++ set meal No 5 which comprised of Spicy Glass Noodle Salad and Thai Style Flat Noodle with Chicken Fillet .

Spicy glass noodle salad was delicious although I found my noodles a tad too sweet for my liking

Hubby went for their RM13.60++ set A meal which comes with Spicy Glass Noodle Salad, Mushroom Rice and Green Chicken Curry

And as always, he had no complains about his meal. He loves it for its authenticity.

The set also comes with a free fruit punch drink

Settings are left minimal and bare, perhaps to mimic the usual neighbourhood restaurants found in the streets of Bangkok. Infact Baan 26 is probably one of the least pretentious restaurants found on Changkat BB, therefore definitely worth a try, lunch time preferably.
