Dinner Date
26 Oct
This is our first dinner ‘date’ since giving birth
Restaurant of choice: California Pizza Kitchen. Only because I read somewhere they have the BEST Red Velvet Cake in town and I SOOO badly wanted to try it.
Unfortunately, there is no photo of the said best Red Velvet Cake in town because it was SOLD OUT! I think the husband was secretly happy about it because he couldn’t believe a slice cost RM22. Men just don’t know how to appreciate good desserts do they unless it’s the other kind?
It’s also been ages since I stepped into KLCC. Can’t believe the amount of new cut-throat shops that have cropped up since.
Totally in love with my chiffon top. The hubby called it a mummy top but I don’t care!
Must-get-lion-mane-fixed-ASAP! It’s been over a year
Incase you’re wondering why is it so bright, we had our dinner at 6.30pm………for a good reason.
KUMAR was in town for the Kings & Queen of Comedy Asia!!
And I got to watch it with Nicole and Mimi
The poor husband was only there to buy me dinner and drop me off because someone was supposed to be in Australia but then decided not to go. The show was so packed that he couldn’t even get a ticket last minute so he did the next best thing: take a photo like as if he was attending the show too :)
Which is a real pity coz it was such a HILLARIOUS show! Despite paying RM198, it was worth every single penny. I laughed so much that I was afraid for my C-Sect stitches. Which are fine btw.
Must thank the hubby for sponsoring the tix
Looking forward to more comedy shows! Preferably sponsored ones

Nicole and I are neighbours and we have a neighbour that bakes lovely Red Velvet. If you are still drooling, you can call May @ (019) 316-9926. She baked my cousin’s wedding cake in Red Velvet and everyone went crazy !
Hello Val! Since you said the cake was REALLY that good, I’m going to call her one day and order a red velvet cake from her:) Thanks!
Red velvet with cream cheese frosting = heaven ! I still have a slice in my fridge just waiting for me to take out and savour. Am keeping it for that day when I really need my comfort food. Oh yes…Happy belated birthday. You should drop by Armanee one day. May’s moist chocolate cake and chocolate brownies are also to die for. All homebaked and super fresh !And her florentines…..ahhhhh. I would share my red velvet with you but its for my eyes only. You can only imagine what leftover cake looks like ! U.G.L.Y……
Cas, what’s soup is that? Looks yummy. Haven’t seen that in other restaurant?
I see you enjoying yrself after being cooped in the house for a month.
Hi Jessie, I believe that’s the Tortilla Soup, very yummy. Yup yup must enjoy after being cooped in the house for a month!
Hmm, the name Kumar sounds familiar. Does he do the cooking program on the Asian Food Channel? Glad you guys had fun.
Ahh, KLCC. It’s a really nice mall but I will never be able to purchase anything in most of the stores – other than Isetan, Swatch, Kinokuniya, MAC and some of the other clothing stores. The food court used to have the most amazing Nasi Dagang (a type of rice and rendang chicken from Kelantan…I lived in Kelantan for a few years when I was a kid). I wonder if it’s still there..*droool*
Hey babe, yup I believe that’s the same person. Haven’t seen the cooking program but my mom said it’s him/her.
SAME HERE, I always pass by the expensive shops and wonder how people can afford such expensive things sometimes, oh well.
Wait. Wasn’t it like yesterday when you delivered? You’re out and about already???
If I’m not mistaken (different people practise it differently) Indian belief is 30 days, then you go to temple and you are free to be out and about.
YUP exactly what Fieran said. My confinement was only 30 days. We took the baby to the temple on the 42nd day (Sri Lankan Tamil belief). Although my mom hates to see me ronda town, I definitely can’t stay at home quietly too often – swear it will drive me nuts, hehe.
Cas,
You are there? You are there? You are there? You are there?
I”m here I”m here I”m here
