Discount Lovers
24 May
And that’s how we roll
So this week is Sharing is Caring week apparently
I was browsing through the web the other day and came across this site called Red Card.
What exactly is a red card?
Well a card that’s red in color what else :D
If I have to elaborate more then I would say this little red card is jammed packed with discounts up to 30% on certain restaurants! Making it a red discount card. Why pay full price with this baby in tow eh?
I decided to sign up for their one month trial and received the card in my mail a week later. So I decided to test it out a week ago. I should add that this card is most valueable mostly for WEEKDAY dining. Restaurant guide and when you can use them are listed here.
We make it a point to go to Mid Valley/Gardens Mall at least once a week on a weekday. The little one is the happiest when she makes these trips. I would be too if I were cooped up at home most of the time on weekdays.
We decided to check Yogitree out, one of the restaurants partnered with this card. While some restaurants require you to book in advance, some are okay with walk ins.
Diligently going through the menu like AS IF she has a say in what she eats
Old man, I want that!
Yes, let me inform the waiter of my choice of dinner. I like how bright the sky was even though it was close to 7.30pm!
Ain’t that the look of love her dad is giving her?
He’s so in love with his kid that he decides I”m not even worthy of being in the photo, hmpf! Just an arm of the wifey would do thank you.
See again focuses on his pride and joy! Anyway think I must have told him to take a photo of the display
No idea what the little one is so happy about. Probably knew what she was gonna get after her dinner
CHOW TIME. All ready reaching out for the fork. Which she doesn’t even know how to use yet I should add. For every main course ordered, little ones eat for free. We got her the ORGANIC spaghetti in tomato sauce which she absolutely loved. I tasted it myself and it was good.
Yogitree is actually a restaurant that prides itself in healthy eating – healthy food that is cooked with the right ingredients.
Usually anything that screams healthy means less tasty. At least that’s what this fattie thought. But after having their pesto pasta, I have to disagree with the statement that I intially agreed to.
Even the husband’s pesto sandwich with chicken was a hit with him. Then again he is naturally a healthy person who eats healthy yet has cholestrol issues, weird world we live in sometimes eh
Drinks are obviously not subjected to 30% discount with this card, either way we ordered and shared a smoothie which was SO good. I can’t rememer this combo but I dare say it’s much better than Boost Juice. Oh and the macaron you see? It was FREE! Only because I went up to the counter and wanted to buy some. I was told they were all reserved for those who were coming in to use their vouchers. 2 minutes later the waiter came and gave me a piece and said it was complimentary, by the boss. Wohooo.
I LOVE FREE DESSERTS.
Btw, the same hi-tea set that my sis had purchased a while ago is back for this restaurant. Do check it out here.
Clean clean plates! Hubby so shy coz he had pesto sauce all over his greedy mouth.
Total bill was a little under RM50. How affordable is that?
Red Card is now apparently giving out a free trial up to ONE YEAR! You can sign up here to enjoy great discounts and thank me thereafter
Then we moved on to our weekly ritual. Every freaking time we make a visit to Gardens, it has become a ritual of sort to make a pit stop at Moo Cow Yogurt. NO mall trip is complete without a stop here. And Sairah knows this all too well.
And my little fattie KNOWS whenever we are about to give her her favorite treat. Even as we step into Gardens, she immediately says ‘Mommy buy moo moo cow’ and all we ever hear out of her mouth is MOO MOO COW. No idea why she adds an extra Moo to it
Seriously, her little treats are draining our wallets dry!! We’ve spent more than RM200 to date and how do I know that?
Coz we freaking collected 15 stamps on the card already. And in return we got a free T-shirt. I was expecting a tub cup of free yogurt with that too but oh well.
Now she can look at this at home all day long and go mooo moo cow and annoy the crap out of my mom
But I honestly do think they should give this kid a free year’s supply of Moo Cow Yogurt coz I swear she’s their No 1 fan.
Kid’s a walking moo cow ad. Looks like she’s high on it….yogurt addict.
Thank you daddy for this glorious treat. Yea sure, so old man gets a kiss when MOMMY paid for it. Classic.
Will not eat fish, will not eat vegs, will not eat chicken but will open mouth WIDE for Moo Cow yogurt….children these days.
Btw the only reason I took these shots coz I was contemplating on entering their contest but then realized I need to have the photo of the yogurt in it as well. Geez, I guess another trip to Moo Cow is quite certainly due then
Walau, so many recommendations in one post and to think I’m not even getting paid a single cent for this. Such is life eh?

I’m so gonna try this Moo Cow thingy…your daughter makes it look so yummy !
and she’s as cute as ever, pouring into Yogitree’s menu
Tarraniya surprisingly doesn’t seem to be interested in anything remotely cold and she doesn’t seem to have a sweet tooth either with the exception of dark chocolates (that she picked up from daddy;-)) I’ve tried to get her interested on Tutti Frutti n even Haggen Daz…she seems rather to prefer her ‘chappati’ n thosai…looks like I’ve got meself a traditional one here !!! the best part is both her fav foods, chappatis n thosais…her mummy’s zero at making them…thankfully grandmas on both sides keep the thosais n chappatis coming !!! (she’s quite a fussy eater
you can see from her frame on the fb pics
Its also my favorite you know
As you can tell she takes her sweet tooh after her mom! Anyway, Moo Cow isnt like Tutti Frutti, it’s more sourish with some sweetness to it plus it’s a healthier option than ice cream.
I LOLed at the chapati and thosai bit, my little one loves her chapati too, had it yday for dinner and I taught her how to say chapati. It’s good diet food for them, lol. But it’s good that she doesn’t have a sweet tooth you know.
Well lucky Tarraniya coz both her grandmas make it for her. I can’t make it either so I depend on mom or the restaurant. She looks fine to me, don’t worry, I think its just a stage, after a while they’ll want to try EVERYTHING!
Cute! I like this statement best “Will not eat fish, will not eat vegs, will not eat chicken but will open mouth WIDE for Moo Cow yogurt”…
Yes kids these days. My boy is simply giving me a hard time, after a few mouths of his meal (and i am trying my best to give him variety over weekends), he will just clamp his mouth shut and say “duwan mamaam”…
But he wants everything else other than breakfast/ lunch/dinner!
Too bad that i have to keep him away from yoghurt cos of his tendency to develop a cough… Cos, Sairah surely does look like a walking ad for “Moo Moo Cow”
Haha what to do la, what’s good for them they dont want! Well I suppose he could be full from all that maam maam you’re letting him experiment with or he’s just slowllyy savoring it all
If no yogurt then would ice cream do? Then again, dont introduce him to the sweet stuff, he’ll ask it from you non stop! At the rate she wants her moo cow, I told her father he should totally open a franchise.
pssstttt
you’ve got mail ! I’m going to try introducing Tarraniya to Moo Cow this weekend, let’s see how she responds to it
I’m hoping she’ll luv it (at least that will be 1 more thing to add to her limited gastronomical menu ! ;-D)
Hey just saw your email, will try to reply later on today. Did you manage to introduce it to her? How did she like it? Hope it went down well
She’s such a petite fashionista, I love her dress
Couldn’t agree more with your statement about kids opening their mouths wide for frozen yogurt, yeesh … I think the only cold sweet stuff we ate as kids of the 70s/80s was the ice cream from the man on the motorbike ringing his bell … mmmm, durian ice cream sandwiches!
Aww thanks for noticing her dress. Its a lovely sun dress her dad got her from Perth a year ago. Hahaha ice cream potong…man that brings back memories. But you’re right, I can only remember that being our cold sweet stuff that we used to have. And now these kids are spoilt rotten with Tutti Fruitt, Moo Cow, Baskins and the works and these cost a bomb!
Thanks for the RedCard link. Any discount is GOOD !
Most welcome, make sure you sign up, there’s a one year FREE trial
But of course ! It’s FREE so why not lah !
Sairah is growing up to be so pretty and such an entertainer.
Aww thanks Val, she’s my little own comedian, haha
Yes she is….I just love reading about her and her antics. They’re so natural and cute. It makes me smile each time I read your blog. So nice…..
Aww happy to see you smile Val. You say the nicest things, as always
