Least Suprised

1 Aug

So apparently KL/Malaysia made a name into the least courteous cities coming in at no 34!

I am for once SHOCKED and appalled, how did we get to no 34??! I mean, come on, I strongly do think we should be no 36, the lowest of them all, hah :D Esp after this episode as well.

You can read some of the stories here I am sure as a Malaysian you can probably relate to at least one grouse.

While I have one too many stories to share, the one story that still makes me boil is this story about a family – YES – all five idiots who definitely contribute to these statistics.

This was probably a few months back when the husband went away for work. Mom and I were in Subang Parade with Sairah, I was maneuvering the stroller on my own. A cunt (must not curse, must not curseee!) family had got into the lift first and instead of helping me hold the lift as I pushed my stroller in, they just pretended that I wasn’t in front of them and BHAM, the damn lift closes onto my stroller. And instead of HELPING do the EASIEST thing of pressing the open button, these bird brains just stood there like the morons that they are, looked at me and did nothing. I had to bloody pry the lift doors with my own fingers, manvouer the stroller into the lift and hold the door open so my mom could come in with my daughter without the doors shutting on them again. All this while these  fuckers (sorry, cannot tahan!) just stood there. My mom said something sarky to them while I was seething with anger about just how messed up this country has become.

Equally messed up is how crime rate has increased ten folds but let me stick to this issue of being courtesy first. I am still so pissed that Sairah can’t have her evening walks anymore coz crime has increased btw.

I remember how when we were in Perth, people would actually hold doors for us esp after seeing us with a child. Even a child of 15 years old in the zoo, had the courtesy so tell me he’ll hold the door for me as he saw me push the stroller. TWICE! Imagine that, a child of not more than 15 being courteous there. Here……..I can see people over 50 who don’t have such mannerisms and brains in them.

Now imagine this dumb bitch raising 3 kids (mind you these are teenagers who should have a proper mind and brain) with no simple morales. Imagine these 3 idiots going to have 3 more kids each who lack a simple thing of HELPING someone out, a simple task of holding the lift  door open for a person in need of help, now multiple that with a HUGE number – that’s going to be Malaysia for you in 10-20 years down the road – filled with shit heads who don’t give a shit for others except themselves.

A proud society to be in? I don’t think so. Yea sure some may argue how there are nice helpful people around, I agree , yes you can find civil Malaysians around,  but let’s face it, how many times have you complained in a day about someone acting in a horrible manner compared to hey look, this person was so nice to help?

I rest me case.

So seriously look out Malaysia, one day we will be no 36, that much I would be least suprised to know.

I can soo feel the anger and irritation in your words! Some people can be sooo selfish. I really felt it when I was pregnant. There were some really nice people out there who would think about me, give me priority, etc. Then there are those morons, who couldn’t care less. The must when anyone sees a pregnant woman, a woman with kid or an elderly person is to offer their seat..but here, they pretend to sleep! and the stroller experience is sooo common in Malaysia.. I don’t understand why it’s so difficult to understand thtat if they dont have a stroller take the escalator, coz those with the stroller need to use the lift! pea brains!

Cannot explain how pissed I am with them, still! I think it’s common here for them to pretend or buat bodoh la, their conscience allows them to behave that way I suppose. Yea, I get annoyed with that too, they purposely take the lift coz they’re so lazy to take the esclator so when it’s our turn to go in, we can’t coz we got a stroller. Malaysians!

    Spot on…

I have stories to share too… but one that’s fresh in my mind is that I was walking behind this guy, few feet away, when we neared the lift lobby, he sped up! Ran into the lift (Only him occupying the lift), and tapped on the close button repeatedly. All the while looking at me as the door closed.

Wow that is sick! But I can tell you that has happened to me a few times too. They don’t even care if you’re carrying a child, they’ll quickly close off the lift door and worse, not bother to hold it. For me, every time I get onto the lift at work, I help press hold the lift.

I do the same… I am glad that i am raised to extend courtesy to others.

Now if more parents can teach their kids how to extend courtesy to others, Malaysia would be a better place eh.

Some people just do not know how to behave. I have to say it very much depend on the person. I am shocked to see Bangkok ranked 26. I used to think they are the most polite people.

True that. I’m sure you don’t have that problem there. Well Bangkok used to have polite people, but even during my recent trip, they were not really accomodating. They are still nicer people outside of Bangkok la – city, what to do!

I think it’s the same in every country. Just the other night, my friends and I were at Tesco. Buta-buta this young funky rock star came screaming at us asking us to Fuck Off. The girlfriend were LOL. My friends turned back and he definitely scare them away.

Definitely not surprised! I have encountered sooo many impolite people that it’s like a norm to behave that way! And yes, I totally agree – Quote “Here……..I can see people over 50 who don’t have such mannerisms and brains in them.”

It’s a way of life for some here I reckon. I think that shocks me the most, that ppl can be old and still be rude with no courtesy! So imagine the kids!
