Did anyone take their lil rats to Mid Valley last week for the Mickey Mouse exhibition? Not sure if it’s still on but it’s a great exhibition for those who are Mickey lovers.
I came across someone’s blog who mentioned about it and took the little one there last Friday. For the past two weeks or so, she has developed a sudden interest in Mickey mouse & friends. That cartoon has been around FOREVER I tell you, I remember watching it as a child (I think we ALL did) so it’s nice to see my little girl like it too.
Anyway, it was all things MICKEY at this exhibition. There were tons of families with
brats kids in tow posing around. My poor baby was like a little lost lamb, I don’t think she recognized it as Mickey coz it wasn’t in his truest form so she had her meh face on. I wonder if Disney approved of this exhibition
A few photos and were out in a jiffy.
God knows who she’s smilling at.
There was a huge section of mickey and other merchandize as well. Quite clever of them I say. We couldn’t resist and went to have a peek, ended up buying a mickey coloring book and a Minnie lunch box. I would have bought more like a pink Minnie bag for her if I wasn’t being so cheap, haha.
Currently these are her favorite cartoons, in no particular order though I think Pocoyo comes first.
1) Pocoyo
2) Peppa Pig
3) Mickey Mouse
4) Pororo
5) Barbie
So for her second b’day if anyone wants to send over these things, please, by all means

She knows all characters by heart and sometimes randomly calls out to them like they’re her best friends or something, lol.
First Barbie to keep her company as we wait for our food to arrive. Thesedays I have to pack her Barbie doll, tumbler AND coloring/sticker book whenever we go - it’s always Barbie’s day out!
Then it was colouring mickey mouse. The minie mouse box is just there for show :D I like how it can fit a bottle of vitagen and some grapes for on the go snack moments.

Dinner time at Garden’s food court. This time we used our Red Card for House of Kebab to get 15% off
She was more than happy to just eat the rice alone.
I love this photo of baby daddy drinking – monkey see monkey do. Just look at how messy the table is!
Btw, I should also add that Bodyshop is having a sale. I managed to get their JUMBO size 700ml shower gel at RM40 after discount. And the other two shower gel were RM11 each while the two bottles on the right was for the hubby. All in about RM115, cheap? The sale is still on btw
And I shall end this post with a photo of me and baby in Borders (again) coz I realized it’s not fair that the hubby gets to pose with her in my other post when I am the one who advocates all her book reading, hmpf!! Now we’re just in the midst of looking for a nice table and chair for her room so she can sit there and read. I reckon that would complete the room, almost! Coz we still don’t have a bed in her room
Happy weekend all, I have lined up an interesting weekend for us with many activities and I certainly am looking forward to it
oooh.. didn’t know about the expo.. Planning to go to MV tomorrow.. Lil’ one needs a haircut (eeekk!!).. hopefully Mickey is still there
I saw on their banner yesterday outside MV it’s up until September but I”m not sure but fingers crossed. Good luck with her haircut, I”m guessing its A Cut Above?
Yeay! she loves MMCH! Especially when the theme songs starts and when she hears Miska, Muska Mickey Mouse!
yup yup ACA it is.. unless got any other suggestions? Don’t wish to go back to the same place as the last time..
LOL in that case, there’s a Mickey app that she’ll LOVE! I downloaded that for Sairah and she loves it, let me find out what is it and I’ll let you know.
Well only took her to ACA. Tried to take her to Centro the last time but she cried and scared them away so I ended up cutting myself
MICKEY is still very much there, I just came back from MV after a quickie lunchtime shopping therapy
Shantini you can by now definitely see a pattern to my Friday afternoons
We took the lil one there last Sunday n boy oh boy did we regret it !! I volunteered to drive us there purely to keep Hubster in the very best of moods for our Sunday family of 3 outing
Hubs + carpark wars = Nasty nasty day out !!
Lil did I realize that me volunteering and lady luck being on our side to get a spot in 2 mins wouldn’t help much with our moods once we got in!!!! the place was teeming with people…we felt like we were sardines in a can n worst still they had no strollers/buggies left at both Gardens n MV !!! Lil Tarra was in a clingy mood till she set eyes on MICKEY n that was it…she wanted every single Mickey related item !!!! Managed to get her out of there with just a single purchase of a very deformed looking Mickey for RM50 !!! and then came lunch time…it took us forever a nice place for lunch…every place…ie. Delicious, Secret Recipe etc was packed to the brim n it was no joke lugging diaper bag, shopping items, a clingy baby and a hand bag between us !! we finally ended up at Amarin just because it had some decent seats left n it wasn’t packed …the food was outrageous …nowhere near not even within a mile to authentic Thai fare !!!:-(
SO the banner was right, it’s until September! OH YES, I noticed the same too so now I”m wondering if you actually work nearby MV?
Hey I was there that Sunday too, wanted to take her to the playcentre on the last floor, got there by 11 a.m and already the carpark was quite full. Still managed to park. Got there when we realized the play area was more suited for bigger kids (though the website said under 2 also can) so we left to Damas. MV is best avoided on Sundays, UNLESS you can make it there before 11 a.m and try to park in gardens coz you got 4 floors of carpark. Ah yes and for that 10 mins we were there we were all sweating coz it was hot and full of people. Horrible I tell you. But it’s good to know it was worth ur trip in a way coz Tarra got to see Mickey and shop Mickey too, hehe. Well our go to place in MV is usually Noodle Station coz its towards Metrojaya and there’s not many people there usually. Even if there is, service and food comes fast!
Yesss plsss
I wonder what the fuss is all about… it’s not even painful!
Oh I must update you, yesterday i managed to cut Sairah’s fringe on my own without a single fuss!!! I just pointed at her fringe and said it was touching her eyes and she somehow agreed. Coz she said ‘hair poke eye’. Had to tell her i’ll only take off a lil and she’ll still look pretty after that. After I snipped her hair, i gave the hair to my maid to throw it and our friend insisted to see how much I had cut, lol. Overall, mission accomplished with no drama! So hoping the same for you when Dhanya is bigger
Congratulations on the mission accomplished! I brought her to a salon in Newtown coz it was saturday evening, and I realised there was no way I was gonna get parking in MV at that hour.. Regret it! Now I am really really gonna go back to ACA, MV the next time ard..Keeping my fingers crossed that it will get easier when she is alittle bigger…
Oh no, so the cut wasn’t good? Honestly how can anyone mess up a little baby’s hair cut?? There’s not much hair to begin with and it’s just a few snips here and there. Unless the child is moving around ALOT then i can forgive them for a bad hair cut. It will, trust me, just gotta coax her into thinking you’re doing something magical to her hair, hehehe.
She was moving sooo much that I was sooo worried coz the scissors looked really sharp… this was another place that was gonna use the hair thinning scissors on baby girl and I managed to stop her in time.. dumb lady la!
We paid RM115 post the 15% CIMB discount for food which was below par. I still left a tip thanks to the atrocious mess the lil brat created with rice bits and me feeling guilty about the mess :-/ all in all it was a bad bad sunday sigggghhhh…should have known better than to go there on a school holiday weekend !!
I’ve been to Amarin once and it was indeed pricey. Anyway I’m pretty sure there are better thai restaurants around KL. LOL I would have left a tip too coz of the mess Sairah creates. Anyway, school holidays are over, yippee, can resume going back to MV in peaceeee!
Hi there, I really enjoy following your blog.. everyday..its a must to read it before I began my work..alwiz wanted to comment sumthing on ur article but never really got the chance..well..lazy..work..bla..bla..the upmost things that i really wanted to tell u all the time is please dont stop writing coz i’m addicted to it..kuikuikui..there was this one time u didnt update ur blog ( when u visited australia recently) and i was like ‘padan muka to lahh xpenah nak comment or reply her’ i was thinking that u got fed up with with the less comment or reply..but i guess it is not true..it is actually ur passion and hobby to update this blog..by the way ur kiddo is a realy well behaved girl..and she is looking at the books without the urge to tear it apart not like my daughter..i guess my kid is 2 months older than urs..well nice blog..i like it!! :))
Hi RJ! First off thank you for reading my blog everyday although I blog three times a week, hehehe. Dont worry I get the lazy part too coz I”m a lazy person most times, lol. Thank you for your kinds word, now I”m more semangat to blog more (and hopefully maybe four times a week). eh no la, I will continue blogging so long as I got fingers coz I’d like to document life with my daughter. It is my passion and hobby and I didn’t think this would be something I like but I do. Haha thanks but she’s not well behaved all the time, she’s naughty everyday actually. And like your daughter she used to tear books until we told her we’ll stop buying her books if she continues doing that and she stopped! For now. Once again, thanks for the support :)Much appreciated.
It’s until September:

Thanks boss
I was right then
BTW how about getting Sairah the table & chair from Ikea? It’s quite nice, they have different colours. We got the round green for our house, and will be going to buy the rectangular blue for my MIL’s house.
I”ve seen it before, I love the pink one!Im eyeing the disney princess one for her though, it’s so princess like and girly, lol, saw it in Jusco I think so gonna get that sometime soon.
OMG. What can I say. Hippy Mickey Mouse. LOL. I bet she must be confuse. I still prefer the old fashion Mickey Mouse.
I have what you have too. I quite like Body Shop. They are quite expensive in KL. Oh no, forgotten to tell you. They have open an outlet store here too. I no longer need to buy from highstreet. It’s a lot cheaper than what they have in store. All brand new and not outdated (or close to expiry) products.
Weird mickey mouse more like it. I prefer the old fashion one too!
Eh I know la Bodyshop is super cheap in UK. Moreover you guys got some nicer products too. Plus when it goes on sale, it’s SUPER cheap. Lucky you and poor Jove, hehehe.
Replies to most of u who have replied:
Anyways since its simple saloon in Ipoh, we just keep distracting him wt many things (ball, comb book, hair clip etc) until the lady finishes
1. My son cries when cutting hair too. He hates the hair falling on his skin or face. He’s very geli wt it. But am not sure if your girls are crying for the same reason
2. My hubby + carpark wars = VERY BAD MOOD even before we can start shopping!! Can SOOOO relate!
3. Anyway is a zoo during school holidays, even the immigration dept in Shah Alam. BAAADDD experience there 2 weeks ago….
4. Disney princess table, oh my! So nice…. I’ve settled for the Ikea one. Got another one yday for my MIL’s house. Bet it’s gonna be full of crayon marks by now
