Make Up By….

15 Aug

That’s it, when I strike it big on Magnum, imma gonna hire me a personal makeup artist, who will be at my mercy service 24/7 so I will look decent all the time. I wouldn’t have to wake up and use my own energy into doing my own makeup and hair coz my hands do get tired after a while. And I’m crap at it.

Nah – a professionally done face. He opted for a natural look though quite frankly I would have gone for a smokey eye look, just because.

Sorry, fat face is still fat. He’s a makeup artist and not a magician so….

But yea, I do like how my eyelashes are more visible and longer (I know I know still cannot rival the husband’s and Sairah’s but please oh please let me have my moment!).

Imma shy bride with thicker eyebrows yo, lol

And visible lashes again….I hope at this point you’re not getting annoyed, yet. I don’t have an eyelash curler with me but yes I will accept that as an early birthday gift from anyone :)

Lips were kept neutral. I”ve always been fond of Bobbi Brown lipstick and glosses. I used to buy em before the brat arrived but no I would rather spend that money on her than expensive makeup. All together now…awww!

Under natural lighting and yes cam-whoring in the car. I swear I rarely do this.

Again with the eyes down coz I just wanna show how my eye makeup looks when my lids are actually visible :D

And this was 8 hours later, starting to look like my old shit self.

With Sairah.

And this was right before I took a shower. Was seriously and I mean seriously contemplating sleeping with my makeup on for that night, coz it was the first time I felt pretty after a longggg time. Wanted the husband for the first time to be happy with what he sees in the morning, lol. But no, I did take it off with a heavy heart eventually. Which I why I really wanna hire my own makeup artist one day.

I really do think every mommy should head out to a makeup counter and demand for a make-over!

Make up by: Jay Jamaludin (Senior Makeup Artist)

He can be found at Bobbi Brown – KLCC 03-2382 0177

Oh and I would strongly suggest you pick up a copy of Her World Magazine come October :D (which also happens to be my birthday month!).

Meanwhile, wishing all my Muslim readers a blessed Raya! Regular blogging (if I can even call it that) will resume after Raya :D Peace!

P.s: I did feel sorry for the MUA for seeing my shit bareface but what can I say, all in a day’s work eh?

Oooohhh lovely… Now I’ll go pick up a copy! :-)
(Hey had to make sure that the RM8 is well spent hehe! AS you said, else the money could have been spent on the lil one!)
BTW nice makeup. Its lovely when they do it, right? Have kena wt Benefit before (in Sogo)… Its soooo tempting, when she apply all on me i looked so nice, that i bought the stuff, and i have NEVER been able to recreate the look :-( The makeup is rotting in my drawer now….

LOL well I’ll try to upload a photo of it here. If its any consolation, there’s nothing much you can buy for a toddler for RM8, susu pun tak boleh. Maybe a sticker book in Book Excess, hehe

Thanks, oh yes, I always find it hard to follow the same. Besides, they spend a long time doing it while we try to do it as quickly as possible so fail la. I love Benefit stuff (esp the perfume) but I find them pricey so best you not let them rot away la.

You look great :) Bobbi Brown products are great for the no-makeup look.

Please, please share the article! Can’t get Her World Malaysia here at all :(

Thanks :) I only wish their products were not expensive :(

No worries, will definitely put it up here. The September issue is already out (and it’s barely end August) so I”m sure it will be out middle of next month.

Eh nice la the make-over.. totally suits you and you know something, I like the last pic, u look good in black la .. I love BB and MAC, I think it totally suits asian colour, but expensive la, and like you everytime I look at a lipstick from BB or MAC, I think of what I can get for my baby girl with that money..

    • TheMissusBlogs 16. Aug, 2012 at 10:46 am #

Thankieee. You know at one point I used to wear alot of blacks until someone ask who was I mourning for, lol. I’m a fan of MAC too – bought it during college days but mahal la. Guess we’ve substituted high end makeup for kiddie books/toys/clothes. Nvm la, when our kids are working, we pau their expensive makeup, LOL.

Seriously, I envy you people living in KL. So many great choices when it comes to makeup. I could live in Sephora alone! Unfortunately, I live in ulu Ipoh … no Bobbi Brown, no Benefit … no Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua … Bleck!

Anyhow, I think u look great with or without makeup. Totally envy you! How do you do it with a toddler?! I’m 9 months preggo with a 3 year old toddler and good grief, I’ve so let myself go.

Must move into Sephora … soon.

Hello Ipoh-ian :) You sure no BB in Ipoh? Coz I know there’s a Jusco in town and I”ve seen some branded makeup. Either way, there’s always online shopping although it’s more fun to go to the store and play around with the make up :)

Aww you’re too kind, but you’ve not seen my face without makeup. Actually I’m a lil vain, must put makeup when I go out so I get the husband to look after Sairah while I get ready :p And congrats on the new addition, I’m sure you’re very anxious!

If you need anything from Sephora, just let me know, would be more then happy to help you buy and send :)Plus we do make trips down to Ipoh, once every 2 months.

Thanks for the offer! The hubby’s in KL so I’m now getting him to run around getting things for me, kinda like a headless chicken at times though. Poor man :p

Yeah. A tad anxious but more of wondering when bubs will make his appearance so I can actually get back to feeling a tad normal again :)

        • TheMissusBlogs 17. Aug, 2012 at 9:09 am #

Well in that case, do have a great time going through your stuff once your hubby is back.

Good luck and hope to see a photo of your bub once the little one is out :)
