To The Birdie Park We Go
2 Jul
Since our lil Tayo adventure a few weeks ago, I was quite bent on taking Sairah to some of KL’s attraction for her to explore. Co-incidently (I think it was fate!) Mydeal was running a promotion for our very own KL Bird Park + Meal for a mere RM35 each. To me it was a STEAL because the normal entry fee just for the park alone for Malaysians is RM25 (foreigners RM48!!) so this was an offer too good to resist.
Normal price fare is indeed on the steep side but I can tell you it is worth every cent because the bird park was clean and well organized which is a rarity in Malaysia
Baby girl promptly woke up early on last Sunday when I told her about our great plan to see birds the night before. We got there by 10 a.m and there were already a few people around. We later found out that this place can get even more crowded come lunch time. So a huge tip: GO EARLY!
Over view of the park – we covered everything within an hour
Plus you’d want to anyway since it can get rather hot and sweaty!
The one thing that really amazed me were how the birds were left to roam freely. I really thought they would be caged up but noooo birdie freedom yo!
They were just chillin around waiting for people like me to take photos of them
And what happens when you have a toddler like Sairah in a bird park? The poor guy was attempting to take a photo when my little one just ran after it
Like so! I sure hope that guy had some good shots of the bird.
Little terror on the prowl. The outfit was a gift from my Aunt who got it from India. I LOVE this jump suit on her.
It’s the perfect casual outfit on a hot Sunday morning I reckon.
Yup, lil terror in action. She was so full of curiousity and was brave enough to go up to the birds, esp the peacock. She wanted to even touch it but we had to pull her back.
No idea what this is called but rather looks like the husband when he’s drunk, lol
Oh hello there birdiesss
See the amount of birds just roaming free? It was such a beautiful magnificient sight. I was a lil afraid they might peek me as I walked by but I’m happy to report that nothing tragic of that sort happened. The birds are very tame.
Daddy looking out for bird poo, har har…..one guy actually had some bird poo on him. And yes, the hubby even stepped on some bird poo….so tip no 2, look out for bird poo on the ground (and from the top!) coz they appear on some walk way!
Water break yet beady eyes seem to be looking out for more birds.
The only photo of myself in the park. Le sigh. Cons of being the photographer in the family, ahem.
BIG FAT Ostrich, I wonder what the heck they are feeding it, nasi lemak and roti canai?
Water fall.
Walking like a boss! After getting yelled at by mom to stop running. All that girl ever wants to do is RUN, yet she’s so chubby.
Then she spotted this red bird. Which to her was pink so the whole day after the trip she kept telling us about this pink bird. She told her grandmother and grandpa the next day about the pink bird she saw at the bird park that went chirp chirp, too cute! This is why I LOVE making such visits because there’s nothing like ‘live’ teaching for the kids. They absorb better that way!
Oh hi lil birdie, come closer, I won’t hurt you, I swear *pinkie fingers up*
I LOVE the color on this teal peacock, wish I could find a top in this color, heh.
FACE OFF with Mr Teal Peacock, tell me where can I find a blouse for mom in your color, tell me, tell me NOW!
A duhhh, I forget peacocks can’t talk mom!!
More birds…
Sexy baby in the park
Asian black bird? Hmm, are you thinking what I”m thinking?!
I love how glossy her locks look and how the hair curls at the back.
Helping dad wipe off the sweat, even mommy wouldn’t get up to that task, ew!
We ended up in the gift shop and bought her a lil souvenir. The Uncle in the store was super nice to her.
The bird does look a lil like her father isnt it? Esp the beak
Because we were done in the bird park by 11 a.m we went to the Planetarium nearby for a bit and then came back to the cafe for lunch.
Maam Maam timeeee!
Hubby’s Crispy Skin Salmon
My Chicken Diane. And suprisingly food was good (although based on their ala-carte menu I found it a lil pricey but thank God for Mydeal, heh)
Now that’s what you call lunch mommie!
Discounted tickets & meal: RM70.
Showing baby girl birdies up close and personal: PRICELESS!
And I should add, she slept really well that night
Highly recommended place to take your brats.

So that’s where you were ?
Lil Tarra has the exact same outfit in navy blue !!! now that’s coincidence :-)Your lil adventure reminds me so much of our Sunway Rainforest trip with the lil one back in May
She had a great time and me n hubbs were so hot n sticky and I swear all 3 of us had gone 2 shades darker in a single day !
But it was well worth it…Tarraniya kept going on and on about the tigers she saw for the entire week
Bets of all the place was so clean and the signs and personal guides were so clear and efficient
Yes maam, just 10 mins away from home
LOL what a co-incidence, I wonder if it’s from India too? Sunway Rainforest, hmm, I oughta google that one out. I know right, why does it have to be so HOT here, honestly it’s a put off but once in a while don’t mind sucking it in for her. LOL kids, they see the excitment in a lot of things and in return we become happy too, so it makes our effort worth it.
seems like a nice place to bring the budak to!
Erm..i’m actually really really realllllly (cannot emphasize enough) of birds so since they’re roaming freely around, i have this fear they will land on me or just fly near me ack!! Donno who’ll be traumatised more, me or the birds.
Yes it is, they can release their energy there
LOL same here, I was afraid they might run after me but they are tame and wont kacau you, if you don’t kacau them. I really LOLed at your last sentence!
haha wiping dad’s sweat, cutie!! I visited the bird park years ago, was surprised to find it well maintained, (ya know, m’sia known for uncleanliness!) and the restaurant’s food was price worthy too. A hornbill got TOO close to us while sitting outside, freaked us out bad, lol!
Haha child labor! Gotta agree too, it’s a pretty clean place for a Malaysian park…no litter whatsoever and nicely maintained. No wonder it’s called hornbill cafe….we sat inside, coz of the air con, I didnt know there were hornbills outside. Malaysia is getting TOO hot i tell you.
LOVE her outfit, her hair & your captions! I just realized, I’ve never been to the bird park! Hahah Might go to these places when we have a li’l one
It’s really a good experience for Sairah… Awww so cute the way she’s giving that little birdy a kiss!
Thanks Babe. You can start practicing by taking your brother’s kids there, hehe. It’s a decent place to spend Sunday morning and yes, she had a good time looking at the birds, including giving the birdy a kiss.
Gosh, did she ever ask that she can have these birds as pets? :P
Thankfully no, not yet. I think she still prefers dogs to birds, hehe.
