Welcoming 2008

Ok so it’s 2008 already! Sayonara 2007, helloooo 2008. This is my first blog entry – on 1 January 2008. Great way to kick start a new year you reckon?

Had my ups and downs for 2007

Ups:

Getting a nice increment

Being proposed

Getting engaged

Getting married

….yes, in that reverse order

Downs:

We’ll just skip this for now, hey it’s a brand new year, i don’t wish to reminisce the past.

Back to my ups: I got engaged on 17.06.07. Daddy and the rest of the family members were pleased. Then i upgraded their gift by getting married on 07.09.07. So i’m official a mrs, someone’s wife, someone’s mrs. At the age of 25 (just 1 1/2 months shy of my b’day) i got married.

Ah yes, married. Comitted for life. My friends are proud of me for turning up for my wedding. I’m proud of myself too. After 1 year 11 months of courtship, many ups and many downs to match the ups, we got married.

How’s married life you ask? Well, i think some times it’s way over-rated, notice how all cartoons and most girls (eg: SPJ in sex & the city) crave for their happily ever after? Is there one you ask, as a mrs – OF COURSE. But is it always happy everyday you ask? Then no, we have our ups and downs even after getting married. But would i ever change or have things differently? NO. Coz i fought real hard to be where i’m at and every time i look into those big brown eyes of his, i’m glad we got married.
