Mabuhay! I”m back from my one week vacation. Peanut’s daddy is still there for work, back this weekend and has been there for 3 weeks already. But more on my trip and what I bought later ok.
This year Valentine’s Day was spent in Makati. I don’t remember doing anything special for V-day last year or the year before that. I only remember the fight we had once when we dated because someone did not make any reservations whatsoever. Looking back I don’t understand why I made that an issue.
So this time around, I wasn’t expecting anything at all (honest!) but someone took the liberty of making reservations at a Spanish Restaurant called Gaudi located at The Fort. This area is the place for a romantic dinner and if you’re lucky enough, a place to bump into famous pinoy celebs.
We’re off to wine and dine the pregnant missus, haha :)
We get there and the restaurant was fairly decent! Wasn’t the most romantic looking one but the food is supposed to be good, promised the other half. I did mention to him that the restaurant we went the night before was a 100 times better looking than this one and we should have celebrated it there instead. Yes no one said I was easy going

He then excused himself to the bathroom and I did think it was odd that he took a bit longer than usual :) Peanut’s daddy then reappears and puts down this little boxed gift on my plate….
I had a quick look at it, recognized the color of the box and wondered if it was what I thought it was. Granted I’m not so big on accessories, I can still tell the difference and recognize brands la.
Like an eager 16 year old he tells me to open it:
It has both our names engraved on it, 4ever And when the baby comes I’ll add her name on the other side. It’s a simple braclet (like me, heh) and I LOVE it to bits!
I have no idea what prompted him get me this but it sure is nice to receive a lovely gift, more so when you least expect of it. The things a man will do when you’re carrying his baby I tell you…..
Guess he was right afterall too because the food was delicious.
We then decided to stroll around The Fort for a romantic walk and to look for a nice place for dessert. I love this place because they have this huge park where you can bring your dogs for meet up sessions. It’s such a nice place to take long slow walks and see the world go by.
Ended up in this little quaint cafe called Xocolate that serves orgasmic chocolate drinks.
Nah, 3 photos that subtly show off my new braclet, hehe.
And one more together with the most-awesome-chocolate-drink-in-the-whole-wide-world. Pinoy food might suck big time but NO ONE does desserts better than them.
Here’s a photo of the proud parents to be back at the hotel after our date
Couldn’t ask for a better Valentine’s Day and of course Husband
