My Valentine’s Day With Tiffany

16 Feb

Mabuhay! I”m back from my one week vacation. Peanut’s daddy is still there for work, back this weekend and has been there for 3 weeks already. But more on my trip and what I bought later ok.

This year Valentine’s Day was spent in Makati. I don’t remember doing anything special for V-day last year or the year before that. I only remember the fight we had once when we dated because someone did not make any reservations whatsoever. Looking back I don’t understand why I made that an issue.

So this time around, I wasn’t expecting anything at all (honest!) but someone took the liberty of making reservations at a Spanish Restaurant called Gaudi located at The Fort. This area is the place for a romantic dinner and if you’re lucky enough, a place to bump into famous pinoy celebs.

We’re off to wine and dine the pregnant missus, haha :)

We get there and the restaurant was fairly decent! Wasn’t the most romantic looking one but the food is supposed to be good, promised the other half.  I did mention to him that the restaurant we went the night before was a 100 times better looking than this one and we should have celebrated it there instead. Yes no one said I was easy going :p

A heart shaped bread

He then excused himself to the bathroom and I did think it was odd that he took a bit longer than usual :) Peanut’s daddy then reappears and puts down this little boxed gift on my plate….

I had a quick look at it, recognized the color of the box and wondered if it was what I thought it was. Granted I’m not so big on accessories, I can still tell the difference and recognize brands la.

Like an eager 16 year old he tells me to open it:

It has both our names engraved on it, 4ever :) And when the baby comes I’ll add her name on the other side. It’s a simple braclet (like me, heh) and I LOVE it to bits!

I have no idea what prompted him get me this but it sure is nice to receive a lovely gift, more so when you least expect of it. The things a man will do when you’re carrying his baby I tell you….. :)

Guess he was right afterall too because the food was delicious.

We then decided to stroll around The Fort for a romantic walk and to look for a nice place for dessert. I love this place because they have this huge park where you can bring your dogs for meet up sessions. It’s such a nice place to take long slow walks and see the world go by.

Ended up in this little quaint cafe called Xocolate that serves orgasmic chocolate drinks.

Nah, 3 photos that subtly show off my new braclet, hehe.

And one more together with the most-awesome-chocolate-drink-in-the-whole-wide-world. Pinoy food might suck big time but NO ONE does desserts better than them.

NO ONE.

Here’s a photo of the proud parents to be back at the hotel after our date :)

Couldn’t ask for a better Valentine’s Day and of course Husband :)

Hey Cas, I’m back frm CNY, it was great. I think I’ve gained a few kilos after non-stop eating, lol… Was great spending time with my family and relatives.

Too bad, I can’t spent my Valentine with my dearest as CNY clashes with Valentine’s Day. Bad celebration timing, though, lol…

Bet u had a romantic time with yr hubby.

BTW, send my regards to little peanut.

    U take care.

    OMG how sweet is it!

 I haven’t received my V gift! Bf drove two hours to visit me while i was back in Hometown(it was sweet enough for me) and promised that i would get my gift on this weekend!

I guess it should be the Marc Jacoob Daisy that he is going to get me! (He addicted in getting me perfume!)

Haha, yea suprised that he actually took the trouble to get me a gift this time around esp when he doesn’t believe in V-day.

Aww, you’re right, driving back to see you is sweet enough but of course the Marc Jacob Daisy perfume would be sweeter, hehe.

OMG… Nice bracelet. Yup, me not accessories lover yet I like that!

Oh ya, ur post reminds me of myself! I used to make a big fuss bout him not being romantic and stuff like that. I hv no idea why I make a big fuss bout it too! Come to think bout it, I hurt him a lot by saying those nasty stuff :(.

Happy Valentine Day to u too!

Thanks Wylane, it’s simple and clean.

I guess it’s just a girly thing – wanting a romantic other half to do things that sweep you off your feet. But in reality, I think it’s better to settle for a practical man and someone who loves you for who you are :)

Hope your V-day was a good one too.
