RM80 is actually pretty good. I paid through the nose to visit Mdm Tussauds in London some years back. Im sure it’s even pricier now.
P.s. I think I would have taken that golf club and hit Tiger on the head :P

I can imagine it being more expensive in London. Anyway, this one was just a small place, I think only 2 small floors and we were done.
I would have done that – but then I would have had to pay for damages and I dont think it’s worth forking out money over him, hehe

In Christmas 2007, I went to Madame Tussauds in London for one single reason: to stand next to Shah Rukh Khan’s wax statue and take a photograph. I got that photo though I looked horrible in it. It was worth it though
The cheapest way to get tickets to Madame Tussauds in London is to buy it as a deal together with another attraction. In my case, I picked London Eye. I think it came to about 30 GBP altogether.

Didn’t know they opened a branch in Bangkok. The sad part about Madame Tussauds is the queue.. especially in London and Berlin. The queue is terrible. People queue for like 4 hours to get in and then there’s a crowd and you cannot really see the statues properly.
Come on, I’m sure you don’t look horrible in the photo but I never knew there’s a SRK wax statue in Madame Tussauds. Got John Abraham or not? LOL. I can’t imagine how much the tickets would have cost.
I believe this branch is new. There was no queue here and most of the times the hubby and I were the only ones around the wax statues allowing us to pose silly. Dont think we would have otherwise in front of strangers. 4 hours? One would think the REAL stars were actually there eh?

*ducks* They have Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan recently. It’s alright I guess, just some wax statues. But it was fun. The tickets ere about 30 GBP a person but that included Madame Tussauds and London Eye. It’s like a deal that you can get from the London Eye website.

Oi, just you wait, one day, one fine day there will be a wax statue of my beloved John in London and when that happens I guess it’s time to pay UK a visit, lol. 30GBP is still on the steep side even for two deals, no? But if it’s worth it then why not.

True, true 30GBP is not cheap but I’ve kind of accepted that when you travel, it’s difficult to not go to some of these places. So I usually put aside a travel budget and think ‘I’m on vacation, it’s OK to be a bit spendy’. Then I come back from vacation and mope about being broke. Story of my life.
The London Eye is very nice on good weather. Gives you a great view of London.

There are really nice bed and breakfast places that can be quite reasonable. The only one I have tried is actually in Hertford (near Stanstead). I stayed there when I went for a friend’s wedding. The owners were amazing. Sometimes if you book your tickets wayyyyy early, the deals can be real bargains. Then it’s cheap to fly to Norway (cough).
